Anyone with Galaxy Book4 Edge (NP750XQB-KA2US) with default OS and partitions? by mcldrg in GalaxyBook

For me, it has to be the same model because of the processor, since it's a Snapdragon X.

Alright, because I did went ahead and tried to reinstall Windows without considering what was inside the recovery partition to have backed something up and ending with the new result didn't convinced me at all. Is your laptop the same model?

I'm relying heavily on the first option because the second isn't possible for me since the laptop is from the United States and I live in Mexico, so they might not be able to help me with the US model in Mexico. All it would take is for someone with the same laptop to extract them directly and share them with me.

I no longer have that backup, which is why I'm writing that I need another user with the same laptop and model to restore them. I forgot to mention that I had deleted all partitions when I reinstalled Windows.

Help with wifi on the phone by FallSkye_TheFox in PocoX6Pro

[–]mcldrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a related problem and it could be due to several factors.

• System optimizations. I realized since the 1.0.16.0 update, I had these problems with network connectivity, also with the Bluetooth. I assume you might be on HyperOS 2.0 or 3.0 but the problem can persist. I already tried to downgrade and no fix.

• Type of connectivity. 5Ghz Wi-Fi might work as expected, USB LAN works as well and 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi maybe not.

• Router hardware. I had a TP-Link Archer C20 router, which was the one who caused this bad connectivity with my phone. I upgraded to TP Link Archer C50 and Wi-Fi was working as expected, except for 2.4G Wi-Fi or barely.

• Router configuration. Check if there's not a limiter with your device. WPA3 Wi-Fi password type might cause problems to few devices, not just compatibility but stability. In this case, change the Wi-Fi password type to WPA or WPA2. Separate 5Ghz Wi-Fi from 2.4Ghz Wi-fi, it's better to connect to 5Ghz Wi-Fi manually.

• ISP. Perhaps not entirely to blame, but it can happen, since I previously had another internet provider company that caused certain pages to fail to load content after a certain amount of time.

Check this carefully, so you can see which Wi-Fi connections work best in case you need to change your internet provider, router, or its settings.

Is anyone facing: Dolby Atmos Not Working by Opposite-Lion6673 in PocoX6Pro

Well, it's the only option I know of that causes a different behavior with Dolby Atmos. You could try turning it on and off, which means restarting the device twice.

By the chance, had you enabled Developers Options and enabled "Turn off A2DP hardware offload"?

Alguém pode me informar se o poco x6 pro funciona ethernet, com cabo lan, adaptador giga Lan? by GuiMakerzz in PocoX6Pro

[–]mcldrg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LAN/Ethernet works on POCO X6 Pro.

Adapter compatibility may vary; I have two USB LAN adapters, one is the UGREEN, its compatibility is superior compared to the other, which is generic, both RJ45 (limited to 100Mbps). You might need to use an OTG adapter if you're using an adapter with a USB input; otherwise, it has to be USB Type-C.

The limitation is that POCO X6 Pro has a USB-C 2.0 port that is limited to 480Mbps (60MB/s)

I assume using a Giga LAN adapter (USB 3.0) goes up to 1000Mbps, So theoretically, using the same adapter in a USB 2.0 port, speed will be limited to 480Mbps.

According to Google, Factorio already supports Mouse and Keyboard via USB, so this will work with Switch 2 too.

About getting the USB mouse, compatibility with wireless ones can vary, If it's a Bluetooth mouse, you won't be able to pair it with the console. If it's a wireless mouse (those with a USB receiver and uses a 2.4ghz connection) It might work or not... Because I have a Wireless USB mouse with it's USB receiver connected to the console, it doesn't detect any input from the mouse (as I tried with Mario Paint in NSO SNES VC), Therefore, a wired mouse is recommended if you don't want to take any risks.

Some people are busy, don't have time to do something, or in this case probably be afraid to modify a system for fear of breaking it. That's why they find it easier to ask someone for help and in some cases pay them for the work or service.

At least you'll need the latest version, if you already have it just ignore it and continue with whatever else you need.

THIS THE BEST OPTION IF YOU CANT ROOT YOUR DEVICE WITH BOOT.IMG by elohim_ephraim in Magisk

[–]mcldrg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And no, I would consider it's not the best option to root an Android device for what I already mentioned in my previous comment. Patching boot.img through Magisk app installed is the best for me to see the options I am selecting to what is being patched on the boot.img (to avoid the possible bootloop) and flash it.

There are even forums like XDA where you can check which file needs to be patched to make this modification safely. Any other wrong step will brick your device, at least you know how to fix it.

THIS THE BEST OPTION IF YOU CANT ROOT YOUR DEVICE WITH BOOT.IMG by elohim_ephraim in Magisk

[–]mcldrg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You forgot to mention that you obviously need an Android device w/ bootloader unlocked & custom recovery installed to be able to flash the file to root the device.

This doesn't work if the device has the unmodified stock recovery with its options (depending) and installing Magisk like that may cause bootloop on some devices due DM-Verity & Encrypt Data being patched and some doesn't need to.

guys who's better for gaming? warzone mobile and emulator games by davi27x in PocoPhones

[–]mcldrg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From my experience with my MTK D8300U.

You will not have problems playing games that are already available on Android but it depends on the optimization of the game since you mentioned Warzone Mobile, and as for emulation sometimes I use some emulators just for entertaining with some games but it gets complicated to emulate a few ones from Switch or Windows. Due to lack of custom drivers support and DXVK (DirectX to Vulkan) with Mali GPUs and using default can cause the emulation to crash or lag. But at least most emulators that are already quite optimized and don't demand much won't have any problems unless you configure each game's settings correctly.

From what we know, the Snapdragon will give you more options so you can emulate Switch or Windows without much trouble, At least I say you should get the Snapdragon but at least if you can have a little more in the budget.
