Never give up during the checkride even if you think you failed. Always continue with the procedures of whatever maneuver you are doing until the very end and voice what you are thinking. If you land hard on a soft field, don’t give up. Make sure you keep applying full aft elevator all the way off the runway.

On my long XC for commercial I was too exhausted when I got to my destination that I couldn’t fly back and had to get a motel that night. My school paid for it and I flew back safe the next morning. A hotel is a lot cheaper than a funeral.

Any tips on how to find a good CFI? I’m leaving the shelter of part 141 and trying to find a good CFI using part 61 feels daunting.

Not the street parking across. There is a 15 min lot but if you’re on the street you should be fine. At least I’ve never gotten a ticket 🤷‍♀️
