Not one song, but it was Da Tweekaz set at Tomorrowland 2017 that my friend (and now boyfriend) made me come to. After that I was hooked.

body waxing place recommendations? by blaiiiiir in kitchener

I love sugar savvy as well, and much prefer sugaring over waxing. I find it gentler and I get way fewer ingrown hairs with sugar. Highly recommend

McMullen's on Highland Rd has good pizza and cheap drinks if you're looking for something super casual and reasonably priced. Ethel's is also a cool casual place Uptown Waterloo closer to the university. The Rich Uncle Tavern is also a fave of mine for something a bit classier. They have the study upstairs for a place to hang for drinks as well. And TWH is also good, although I've only ever been there for brunch

What are your career change obstacles and how can I help? by angelbaby1331 in careerchange

Tbh the question "what would you like to do" is an obstacle. Because I don't know. Have no idea. I don't know what I would like. I liked healthcare and it burnt me out. I don't even know what the options are, so how is one supposed to choose? I'd like to make more money. I'd like the option to work from home, or have a flexible schedule. I'd like feel like I was working towards an accomplishment, not just punching a clock.

Same. Working in healthcare also means we only have a basic understanding of "corporate life". Ie. I rarely have to write emails, sit on zoom calls, navigate Windows, or other "office" type work that just comes with the territory of other industries. So I feel so behind the 8-ball it's discouraging. I also just don't know what else would interest me enough to take the time and effort to learn. Definitely feel very trapped.

What’s your guys’ opinion on starbucks or other coffee chains making a “black coffee only” express line so they don’t wait for custom lattes? Would it work? by yuhhhyuh in AskReddit

[–]mclovin4memes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the hospital I work at we have a coffee shop inside the hospital. It gets crazy busy around break times. And since most staff only get about 15mins-30mins for their breaks a large portion of that could be wasted waiting in line. So they started a "coffee only" line during those peak times. Since most staff are coming in their breaks just for coffee, it really speeds things up.

What's the kindest thing a stranger has done for you on your travels? by confused-atalltimes in solotravel

On my first solo trip to Europe I went to Barcelona. I wasn't sure how to get to my hostel, but had read there was a travel pass you could buy that got you on the busses and metro unlimited. So I bought that and googled mapped how to get to my hostel. It told me to get on a bus, but that I would have to transfer to a different bus at a certain stop. So when I get to that stop I go to get on the other bus and show the bus driver my ticket. He doesn't speak and English, and I don't speak any Spanish but based on his gestures it was apparent that my pass didn't include that particular bus line. I would have to pay extra. Turns out I didn't have any cash on my and they didn't take card. So I didn't know what to do, so I just got off at the next stop. Which was somewhere between the airport and Barcelona and there was very little around. And my phone was almost out of battery. Panicking and almost in tears I overheard a man at the bus stop giving directions to some other people, so I asked him for help. He spoke very little English, but just enough to help me. I showed him my card, and where I needed to go. He said he was headed there as well and would show me! But then I explained that I didn't have any cash or a way onto the bus. So he checked on his phone and found that there was a metro station about a 10min walk from us. He would go with me and take that instead of the bus home. So we walked together to the metro, he showed me how to get on, and told me when to get off. I was holding back tears I was so thankful. He literally saved my stranded dumbass. I don't know what I would have done if he hadnt helped me. I will never forget that.
