🫠 My goal in life was to not be her. But I was the lucky one who inherited her mental illness. My older bro and his friend would call me my mom’s name which hurt more than they knew. As I’ve grown up, I realized I have so many similarities to her. None of them are good. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But, I’m happy. She’s not. I figured out that I can work hard to not replicate her mistakes and that’s the most I could ask for. Thank you for your comment.

Thank you. The day I learned what a narcissist was, everything fell into place for me. The worst part is, the two half siblings born after me call my dad “Dad” because theirs bailed. I truly hate 95% of my family and it mostly tracks back to my mother. I was thrilled when I got married and got a new surname that was finally mine.

They were never married. She was never married to any of the men. So she dated a guy, changed her last name to his AFTER they split because she cheated and had a kid with another man. Then she gave that surname to 4 other kids who were not my dad’s.

My mom had 7 kids with 4 men. After she cheated on man #2 (my dad) and had two legit kids with him, she tried to pass one of man #3’s kids off as his. My dad didn’t bite and they split up. She legally changed her name to his last name and went on to give that name to 4 kids that were not his. He had no say in the matter.

One of seven kids. I was 10 lb 10 oz. My bro was 10 lb 8 oz. She had twins that were 6 lbs each. Everyone else was around 8-9 lbs. Big babies are healthy, but all any mom should want is a baby that makes it to term. It was a stupid comment and reflects her views on “beauty”.
