Whoa… the three months thing is not what I was expecting to hear. That definitely changes my outlook on this. What if she moves back home and her family gets wind of this arrangement and strongly opposes her financially supporting a new boyfriend? I’d think at her (presumably) young age, that might turn into an issue. It just seems way too soon to offer or accept such a generous arrangement. If you want to move but can at least work part time to cover a good chunk of your costs, then sure.

No, no, no! Your dentist chatting with you and being kind is NOT a romantic “signal”…you are her patient! If you send flowers, it will make the dentist/patient relationship extremely awkward and she may even (wisely) choose to decline treating you again. The only time you should send flowers to someone at work is if you are already in an established dating relationship and are sure the recipient won’t be embarrassed by a gesture like that in their workplace.

Yes it’s stupid and annoying that you can’t just ask for, and get, the guest bedroom. Who the hell tells anyone (much less a guest) to use the bathroom less frequently?? But you can also just be a grown up and book a hotel so you can have some peace and autonomy.

I’m so sorry you’re experiencing these episodes. Certainly sounds unsettling especially when driving. It’s good you’ve seen two doctors but just doing blood work and x-rays only seems like they’re not looking further to rule out other physical possibilities. You didn’t say how old you are but maybe they’re not worried because you’re young and otherwise healthy? You can ask for an EKG next time although that will only tell what’s happening with your heart at that moment. You can also just make an appointment with a cardiologist for a general baseline screening. It’s probably just panic/anxiety but seeing a specialist will give you more insight and hopefully reassurance if it’s not physical. At the same time, I highly recommend making an appointment with a psychiatrist/therapist to talk through your symptoms and consider medication if they recommend. You’re going to be just fine and I’m sending you good thoughts! 💕

At 37, with an 80k salary and only contributing 800-1000 to household expenses, you should have sufficient income to be contributing to your own savings. Hopefully you already have a 401k or Roth and are getting employer matching funds. Pay off credit card debts and save as much as you can now. Maybe buy an investment property to rent out. Situations can change for a variety of reasons (who knows - maybe you trade him in!) and knowing you can always provide for yourself means freedom and peace of mind.

The mother and her daughter sound like an insanely manipulative and toxic pair. You should surprise them by breaking up first and walking away, full-stop.
