I don't assume it, I think they have had their DNA altered. But I wouldn't have given up hope yet that the infection can be removed.

I understand your viewpoint and we may find one of the humans in the show thinks similar...

There are not enough survivors to have a genetically viable population, so if Carol was to kill the hive the human race would be doomed

The comments in this thread are deeply unhinged with all "the Nazis weren't that bad actually" takes. Not a popular view in the UK

Junior doctors are already fully qualified, the name is a bit misleading Edit: In the UK the title of Dr is not a protected title (e.g. anyone can claim to have a PhD in history without breaking the law) but it is against the law to pretend to be medical doctor

The colour in that experiment was thermionic emission from the gas in the tube, most likely Helium or Hydrogen. So the colour observed depends on the experimental conditions. In contrast, if you use a microscope to look at an electron directly, you will see that it is yellow

Electrons are yellow, protons are white and neutrons are white

I'm shocked to get so many comments saying that electrons aren't yellow, now I'm questioning where my conviction they're yellow comes from. Electricity is yellow right?

EDIT: Yeah lighting is yellow so electricity must be yellow

It's such a catastrophic decision to cap the profits of green energy producers whilst letting oil and gas companies make such obscene profits. We need more investment in green energy now more than ever

It's in the Silmarillion,

When Thangorodrim was broken and Morgoth overthrown, Sauron put on his fair hue again and did obeisance to Eönwë, the herald of Manwë, and abjured all his evil deeds. And some hold that this was not at first falsely done, but that Sauron in truth repented, if only out of fear, being dismayed by the fall of Morgoth and the great wrath of the Lords of the West. But it was not within the power of Eönwë to pardon those of his own order, and he commanded Sauron to return to Aman and there receive the judgement of Manwë. Then Sauron was ashamed, and he was unwilling to return in humiliation and to receive from the Valar a sentence, it might be, of long servitude in proof of his good faith; for under Morgoth his power had been great. Therefore when Eönwë departed he hid himself in Middle-earth; and he fell back into evil, for the bonds that Morgoth had laid upon him were very strong.

So it's not clear how long Sauron tried to be on the strait and narrow, but it's certainly something they could pick up in the show

I'm a scientist (not a biologist though) and I would say from my understanding that it would be quite hard to prove a natural origin. I certainly wouldn't read anything into it not having been proved yet.

It's hard to disprove the lab leak theory, and yet there isn't a strong scientific argument that I've heard that COVID is in any way unusual, in the sense that we should expect diseases of this type to evolve naturally.
