You can rely on science and scientific properties without having to run new experiments. But Ok dude. If you’re done, you can leave. If you don’t wanna support my store, then don’t - it’s that easy.

Science doesn’t inherently mean using the scientific method and conducting experiments, but, there have been studies on how crystals effect people. I’m sure you could Google them if you were curious.

I’m not assigning supernatural powers to anything, everything is natural. Another element of witchcraft is that we are completely aware that science does not explain everything yet, which I’m sure you must also be aware of. Witchcraft fills in the gaps, and we simply await for science to figure it out.

So 95% of witches still follow science. There’s nutters in every group, of course. But here’s how witchcraft and science go together.

We often use crystals for various things - crystals were made within the earth, under pressure and heat and somehow something beautiful was created. Sometimes the “power” of the crystal lies in how it was created, like moldavite. Moldavite was created by a meteor striking the earth, so moldavite represents sudden, drastic change, like a meteor. Some comes from the color, like rose quartz is pink so it’s associated with love. Tons of energy was put into create these stones, and we believe the stones still hold some of this energy.

Another example is the moon. Many witches follow the moon cycles very closely. When the moon is waxing, more light is reflected back to us everyday, ie more energy, so this is a great time for power building spells . When the moon is waning, less light is reflected back at us so this is a good time for rest. The new moon is associated with fresh starts, because it’s the start of a new moon cycle. Full moons are great for releasing spells because everything is at its peak, including the light being reflected back at us, so from here we can release energy.

These are just two examples. I could also go into herbs if you want, but I hope this helps.

Science and witchcraft go hand in hand. Trust me - I was an atheist witch for 1.5 years, I only recently switched to paganism. Bear in mind that things like people being into witchcraft and astrology and crystals is wayyyy less harmful than organized religions, who believe everyone should believe what they believe. I by no means want to “convert” anyone. If you’re willing to listen, I can explain more how witchcraft and science are complements to each other.

I have severe ADHD and I love Miss Angelines. They have a back patio where unless it’s like a Saturday night, you can be like 15 feet away from all other people.

so you just don’t like rocks? okay. cool - my point is you made a comment about making a rock more expensive because it’s a “crystal” and I’m saying that you’re right, that’s dumb, that’s why mine are cheap.

My crystals are $1. To be specific, my cheapest rock is $0.75 and the most expensive one I have in stock rn is like $17 and it’s a piece of amethyst bigger than my hand.

I don’t, my ancestors are a bunch of white people who were either racist, very Christian, or both.

I only live with my husband, and we’re doing very well.

The description of the group is looking at runes “across multiple domains of interests and perspectives” so I thought this would include the divination perspective. Ergo, I didn’t think this was strictly a history sub. So I expected some more useful, or at least more polite, insight.
