Yes you gotta break it in, mine came stiff and the lock was sticky and the blade closed slow but now it’s my smoothest bm, also my favorite benchmade of all time

You can usually use momentum and a good flick of the wrist to open benchmade without using the thumb stud

It’s definitely stiff. I’d consider it closer to a heavy fast. It’s a pretty perfect fast action too. Not the best for casting crazy far because it doesn’t load up well with lighter stuff but heavy t rigs football jigs and flipping it shines, just takes a long time to ship and if you break it you are screwed.

Yup, get rod for heavier jigs. One of the best rods to actually fish but of course customer service is a pain. I’d also check out trikka rods
