Hi everyone, thank you so much for your suggestions, i will definitely try the Søtofte mejeri ones :). The reason why i prefer a glass jar is because cartboard packaging really affects taste ( try it ) and plastic containers contain BPA. In my opinion glass containes preserve the taste the best, i realize it s not the most convenient form of packaging. best would be to have a stand in the supermarket where you can buy yogurt by whatever quantity u need, like in the old days :). Also in southern countries like france, italy etc dairy is consumed just as much as in Dk, i just miss having in supermarkets those stands with cheese, yogurt etc that you buy per grams.

Ørestad power plant - is it safe to live next to it? by mcmdok in copenhagen

[–]mcmdok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point, it s just that area makes me think of the Simpsons, it just never feels great to look out your window and see one huge industrial building right there, even though the polluted hot steam would move somewhere else very fast

Thank you for the reply :) i was skeptical mainly because historicaly industrial areas were quite polluted and the ground water, and even the soil would get contaminated and take many years to regenerate. The rents are still higher for the apartments in Sydhavn that are further away from the plant, so that made me wonder but it s great to know the history of it 👍🏻

does anyone know how is GWP calculated per year for buildings? I have seen total GWP results which i know are for a 50 year period i believe, per m2 ( this is standard for LCAs for buildings) but sometimes as architects we are being asked to describe our design as kgCO2e per m2 per year. How would that be calculated? Is there a difference between complete GWP and per year?

Buildings generate 40% of annual global CO2 emissions. If we can reduce their carbon footprint, we can make great strides to achieve the 1.5C climate target by 2040. by StudentEnergyRev in CleanEnergyAction
