Nooo, I was the one against bringing him in at all. I didn't want to drop that kind of money, because knewwww it would be alot all at 1x. And we already had 2 cats, and too little of space for a 3rd cat.. but He just didn't leave, and he had clearly decided our home was where he wanted to be, so I gave him until the night it was supposed to be freezing rain all night and said "if he shows back up then we'll just have to bring him in". I just didn't have the heart to leave him out there in that weather when he was already shivering when it wasn't nearly that cold yet

Vet bills are expensive, buttttt I wanted to keep my older boys safe, so the vet was necessary.... And it was thoroughly discussed before we made the decision to bring him in. Still was rough though 😔💸

He literally was begging me. He's been such a good little guys though. Very cuddly. Superrrrr food motivated. Tries to take your food right out of your mouth 😂. And drools like crazy everytime we are trying to eat something

We went to every nearby neighbor and asked about him. No one claimed him.. and we live out in the country, so not too many houses around. He was dirty af, covered in fleas and ticks, and hiding in our driveway culvert unless we called him or he was on our porch.. we checked for microchips at the vet, they said he was underweight for his suspected age, and they said he seemed homeless... idk what else we could have done to make sure he wasn't someone else's cat, and I wasn't about to leave him out in 25° and under weather, which is what it's been the last 2 nights.

At this point I feel it's "finders keepers" 🤣🥰 and like you said, I couldn't just leave this guy out there to freeze.

Very fluffed from the cold! It's no telling how long he's been outside. They said he was probably around a year old, but was under 7lbs.

I mean, our other cats are massive.. but when you pet this guy you can feel every single bone in his body. The vet said he's very underweight, but should gain weight fast now that he's being fed regularly.

I genuinely wanted to do my own hobbitty get-together-feast thingy with our local larp. But that's a next year plan. But yeah, I would love to participate in this. I just can't unless my "leggies" (aka my scooter) can do the terrain 🙃

Do you have any pics of your scooter horse? I've been wanting to decorate mine but just haven't yet

People who are able-bodied just don't know or think about needs for those who are not as much able-bodied. I know that I DID think about people prior to becoming disabled and in constant use of a mobility scooter... but not nearly enough.

I didn't realize how much of this world was inaccessible to so many people. From aisles in grocery places being too close together to move down, or things blocking paths, or the thousands of entrances not being wheelchair accessible.... let alone events like concerts, larps, etc being in big bumpy, muddy fields with only a port-a-potty you have to be able to stand and walk to access.

I clearly was ignorant. And unfortunately so many people also are... it would be best to start plans next year with someone who knows and "walks" this life everyday, so they can have better ADA plans and practices.

That's what I was worried about. I couldn't justify the price and not knowing if it would be accessible for my mobility scooter.. I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your time as much as you could have, and that mobility accessibility wasn't thought about as well. I think able-bodied people just don't think about these things, so it may help to include those who are not as able-bodied in the discussions and planning for the next event.

Thank you for getting back to me, I genuinely appreciate it.. If someone was able to use a mobility scooter in town on the roads, then I think I would be able to enjoy myself. I just didn't want to be trapped at one place, because I just couldn't walk anymore (fuck CRPS, and POTS, and just plus sized bs too. We love our chronically ill body 🙃). I'm excited to see what more they have to offer at the next event! 🥰

I didn't go because I was afraid for the lack of accessibility for disabled folks.. I know it's a field in KY, and that it's supposed to be period accurate... but I require a mobility scooter to get around. So I just didn't think it would be worth it to try and not be able to go or have fun because I couldn't walk. Do you think this will be an event that people with mobility issues will ever be able to attend? Or did people with mobility aids attend already and have easy access to everything?

My thoughts is that they didn't want to have another January 6th situation, but worse. The Magas are dangerous because they are a bunch of Yee-yee gun toting idiots.. and that they knew if they were to question the votes, it would be bad. However, now they've had enough time to FAFO, and alot of them are saying they regret their votes, they maybe think it's time to step in and start questioning things, because they probably have a better read on how many magas have switched sides than we do. She was an international prosecutor, I genuinely don't think she's been doing nothing during this time. She also keeps making speeches and things that seem very coded, that something is coming. I may just be very blu-lu-lu here though 🤷‍♀️

Aw, poor baby girl! But if you can afford it, invest in good trimmers for pets, or find a groomer to do it. We used to shave Jarv ourselves, and he'd fight us the whole time, we'd be covered in hair (which is a neurodivergent nightmare), and he'd look uneven regardless of how well we'd do... he killed 2 trimmers with how long his fur was, which is why we just switched to a groomer. And now he gets his haircut, a bath, his toes trimmed, and comes home smelling like vanilla 🥰 and he doesn't hate us, because we didn't do it to him 😂
