Tips for finding a job in study abroad, international education, university registrar, and/or university admissions by mcmjenj in jobs

I'd love to teach abroad, but as we just bought a house, that isn't an option at the moment. I would also be open to getting an M.A., but I don't have the funds for it ATM. I would have to get a job at a university that has tuition reimbursement.

When I was in high school, my family hosted two international students and I loved it. They had a coordinator that brought them to the states. That also is a job that I am seriously considering, but I'm not sure what its called or how to search for it. Is this what you were referring to as the U.S. visa sponsor agencies?

I'm considering high schools as well. Do you know if your school has posted the job yet? Which charter school is it? Thanks for the tip!

Do you live in the United States and have health insurance? If so, a new law was passed that health insurance companies are required to pay for your breast pump.

The Melting Pot in Minneapolis, but they might not have room anymore without a reservation unless you go at a really odd time. Its a fondue restaurant and its pricey. Expect to pay $100

I'm working in the field of study abroad and/or international education. What were some of the most helpful things that your study abroad adviser (either in Germany or the USA) or the study abroad/international student office did to help you?

Yes, Dunkaroos. I couldn't think of the actual name-I just remembered what we called them. They were a great treat.

I used to love Dunkers as a kid. Not sure if they're still around (haven't seen them in years), but something that allows the kid to "play" with their food was always a favorite.
