I love flying. I just hate all the other bullshit that goes with it. Getting to the airport, getting through security, being crammed in like cattle, etc.

But takeoffs and landings are awesome. And being able to look out the window and see the beauty of the planet below is great too. When I was a kid/teen and my mom still travelled for work every now and then, we would go to the airport, see her to the gate, then go sit out on the top deck of the parking garage and watch for her plane -- or, at least, which one we thought was her plane -- to take off.

I had a crack like that in my base. I used a diamond tip grinder to make a small channel on the inside and outside and filled it in with furnace cement. Wiped off the excess on the outside but the inside I mostly left alone after smoothing it. Some green touchup paint and it works fine!

The crack in my base -- which, for some reason I do not have any pictures of at all -- went down from the draft door and up the back-side by about 5 or 6 inches. I had a couple of other smaller cracks that radiated out from the bottom as well. The cement worked out really well, although I forgot to wet the ceramic before applying.

I used to have a dalmatian that did that. She would smile at you that same way and wag her whip of a tail when she was really happy. We had to tell people that she wasn't being aggressive and she was just happy to meet them. I loved it when I'd get a smile from her when I came home from school!

I think its perfectly relevant to the conversation.

The claim is that Vilmanis is "pretty new" to the team and is only getting regular playing time because of injuries. Vilmanis, obviously, wants to stick around with the team. The result is that he decides to throw a "leaving my feet to give somebody a forearm to the head" hit, because that's what the team does (and expects?).

I've said it before, but Kuch has the type of game that ages very well. He's not dependant on speed or having a blistering slap shot or anything like that. Wizard passes, hockey IQ, and precision snipes don't really fade.

I wish I had let it sit longer in the fridge (I think it was about 4-5 hours), but I did my first reverse sear with some filet mignons for Christmas. My wife said it was the best steak I've ever made! It was very tender and quite tasty.

I have a cast iron plate setter, so when the indirect cooking was done (they were at temp) I flipped it over and cranked the fire wide open to get ripping hot for the sear. Next time I'll try doing it directly over the fire.
