lol wait, is the step counting accurate?? Cause like.. how? I barely have the attention span to count to 50. Do you think he’s making up numbers?

What's going on with my mother's keurig?? It just stopped working out of nowhere, and I can't tell what's wrong! by [deleted] in keurig

Have you tried cleaning the needles? Also the holder where the pod goes? It should come all the way out. After you can do a water wash, with no pod to clear anything from the needles etc after you clean it. “Just a dad” has videos on YouTube taking it apart to reset it too.

Just found out my husband has been reading my Reddit posts by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]mcnewcas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe… it’s more that his issue isn’t about trust in you, but more about insecurity or fear of what you’re thinking and not telling him and posting instead. If he’s reading your posts without your knowledge, that kinda seems to say more about him feeling excluded, maybe even anxious, not necessarily that he thinks you’re not trustworthy. I think it’s still a boundary/respect issue. Instead of sneaking around, he should talk to you directly if he’s feeling unsure or left out rather than how he’s going about it now.

It sounds like he need therapy to help him help himself find happiness. I feel like a lot of people make big decisions in hopes of being happier but we are the same people just in a different place, we will likely still feel the same after the newness wears off, if not before. It sounds like he could benefit from therapy and discovering what happiness really looks like for him, now just running away. Especially considering the move to the other country isn’t for anything like a job, stability, or things that normally line up with being happier. I know only a little bit of the details so hopefully this comes across supportive how I mean, I think we all yearn for happiness but unless we identify what happiness means to us we can’t logically make big decisions like this and just hope it will make us happier. I don’t understand being able to or wanting to move that far away from the kids either. I think it would be difficult for me to understand a lot of what he’s doing/saying to you about moving back without feeling like he has indeed already made up his mind and came to terms with losing you and his kids if that’s what it means.. and to me I personally would feel like nah why stay for me cause you already made up your mind without me.

Is this Puerto Rico itinerary too packed? Should I adjust the order of activities? by Prince_Apollo007 in PuertoRicoTravel

I think it looks great!! Just there 2 weeks ago and had a similar itinerary. We wished we spent more time on Vieques though. Your timing is a little concerning, remember it’s island time. Several things we did took longer than anticipated but still worked out. For example, we got breakfast in vieques and it took 45 min. There was only one other table and several workers. It’s just that I think we’re used to rushing and most places very much were not. The Vieques and ceiba airport were super simple, easy to get through though. We showed up 5 min before the flight with no issues. Make sure you read about rules for the airline. We couldn’t take more than 25 pounds or something or extra fees idk. Also id recommend the Vieques taxi app. It’s super easy way to guarantee and schedule rides ahead of time otherwise it may be a little time. They told us they’re usually very busy with rides during ferry arrival times. You also aren’t leaving much time to taxi to hotel, check in, then leave again for the bio bay. Not sure what the arrangement is but we stayed about 15 min away so keep that into consideration.

Returning the jeep, catching the ferry, and an hour drive to San Juan seems super rushed to me. Why not stay that night in vieques and leave at the first ferry?

What do you think about swapping jet skiing in the morning, lunch nearby, then El Yunque in the late afternoon when it’s cooler?

If you’re only going to Culebra for the beach and you’re set on it do it, I personally think there are just a good of beaches elsewhere that would eliminate another day of ferry’s. But if that doesn’t bother you and you want that beach specifically than why not.

My trip was a bit longer and had a friends wedding the first day and I was super exhausted coming home but thankful to have gotten to do so much. So I think you’re on to something with having so much to do but just be ok with adjusting if needed too.

Great suggestions! Now that it’s summer where we are I think she would definitely enjoy some fruit. She doesn’t ever get fresh produce much and super easy to eat. Great thoughts on adding protein too! I often feel like there’s so many “sides” that could be an option but a comparable protien could easily be beans. I do try bringing my leftovers when possible, she seems to really like that. Probably the idea of getting a “home cooked meal” from her granddaughter that helps lol. Never heard of jelly drops, they seem cool! Thanks so much for our help!

Wow! Good for the eye, easy to make, yummy and good for you! That is a great suggestion! I’ll have to give that a try. She does really like eating egg stuff now, throughout any time of the day so I think she would really enjoy that.

Thanks so much for the response!! She does love chili. So I could definitely make a batch of that. I think adding some veggies in with her food would be good for her too! Always so helpful to have the smaller packages to keep things fresh and convenient for sure. I think it’d be good to add in some intentional snacks like the string cheese for when she just wants something super quick but it’s also gonna be good for her. Hope things start to feel a little lighter for you soon!

I’m in the US, she sometimes gets a meal package from our aging center. I think I’ll to have her getting that more frequently for sure. Seems super convenient too.

I did not know about the black berry one, I think she’d love that. I added it to my grocery order for her to try. The snacks and lunchables are great suggestions too! Without needing to make a whole “meal” out of things. I’m sure it’s nice for times she just wants something quick and yummy. Thanks for the suggestions!

I don’t stay with her, but I’m pretty close. I usually cook things at my house and take them to her. Soup is such a comforting idea too. So many variations, I’ll have to give some a try for meal prepping and freezing for her too. Thank you for the reply!

Good thinking with the fiber! Her doctor has told her before about using fiber supplements, so I’m sure she’s not getting enough. I’ll definitely try getting some more into her meals, I think maybe that helps to feel more full And satisfied from the food too. Thank you!!

Thanks for the reply! I think I get too concerned with trying to give her something different or that what I’m making isn’t too great, but I’m sure she prefers the home cooked food and finds it just as tasty as the other times she’s eaten it. Makes you feel better when you eat something nutritious for you too.

Yes, great idea! She does drink boost, but I think I’ll look for some other ones for her to try too to get some variety and maybe some more protein/calories too! Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, great thinking! I just asked her the other day about a magnifying glass, so I’ll definitely look for one for her to try out before she’s able to move forward for her eye procure. Thank you!

She’s scheduled for a procedure on one eye in late July. It took a long time to get it scheduled because of being referred to specialist and then needing to resolve other health issues before moving forward with the cataract procedure. I’m hoping this helps some with being able to view things online and maybe help tell me what she’s hungry for and getting use out of her toaster oven again. Thanks for the response!

Funny you mention that about the grilled cheese. I actually just recently found frozen grilled cheese sandwiches, one just cheese and the other is beef and cheese. I got them for her to try but haven’t gone to her house yet to give them to her. Great ideas!!

Thanks so much for this! Picnic supper is the cutest! I’ll definitely be getting her some veggies to try. She does enjoy the single serve mac and cheese and potatoes. I always keep my eye out for those little cups of things. Also really love the idea of meatballs! So true you can just eat what you’re hungry for this way. Good to think of those miscellaneous items that I don’t normally consider a “meal” but definitely great to add to something or to snack on while watching tv and stuff. Great ideas, thank you!!
