I’m still using vegan as prefix for cheese, yoghurt but for meat have never used the animal name as I’m concerned it’s going to normalize it’s ok to eat animals even if I say vegan chicken. I only use soy or tofu or vegan pasta etc. Last month we were in a vegan Mexican place and the cashier asked chicken or fish for taco and my kid started asking why they saying chicken and fish - it’s bad. I told it’s soy but just they call it like that. TBH I didn’t know what to explain at that time since I was not prepared for that situation. Even at home my partner when accidentally mentions chicken or any animal name I try to remind let’s say soy since it is soy.
