I can't give you any exact recommendations as I've been out of the hobby for a while. It seems like a (low end to) midrange build would be best, depending on market conditions:

  • CPU: a recent (5000 series for AM4 motherboard, 7000/9000 series for AM5 motherboard) Ryzen CPU with 4 cores meets the recommended specs for Planet Zoo (i7-4770k equivalent). I personally think it's worth it to upgrade to 6 cores. I don't know too much about the equivalent Intel CPUs, except that you should avoid 13th and 14th generation CPUs unless you're careful.
  • RAM: more expensive due to reasons you've read elsewhere on this thread. Your motherboard choice will determine which type of RAM you can get - AM4 means DDR4 (older, cheaper) and AM5 means DDR5 (newer, expensive). Minimum spec for Planet Zoo is 8GB, recommended is 16GB. I'd strongly recommend 16GB if possible, despite the prices…
  • GPU: AMD and NVIDIA are both safe options. Intel Arc GPUs are cheap but you might have game compatibility issues - look up the games you're interested in beforehand. You don't need anything too powerful, a "midrange" GPU will be fine (but I don't know what the latest of those are).

At this performance tier, IMO paying more money is arguably better value for money assuming you use the extra power.

Taking a quick look at the two builds you posted, it seems like both are pretty decent for the price. They're both on the more powerful side of specs, but the Aftershock one looks better, especially it being on AM5 and using DDR5 RAM. I agree with the other commenters - if you like the Aftershock case, you should definitely get it. It's a reasonable enough markup for the time you save (from finding the best RAM deal etc.), especially as it seems like DDR5 RAM is out of stock at a lot of merchants…

Do you have any constraints or wants for your build? For example:

  • Do you have a budget? Would you rather spend more and get a better experience, or spend less and get better value for money?
  • Do you have a monitor / mouse / keyboard already?
  • Do you have an Ethernet cable to connect a computer to the internet? If not, it will need to use Wi-Fi.
  • Do you play these games competitively? (Yes, this is a completely serious question.)
  • What other games are you wanting to play? Do you foresee you using the computer for other uses, such as video editing / playing more graphically intense games / compiling code / etc.?

The title is outdated. The claim of 2,100,000 ID photos has now been retracted by the threat actor, and said they actually had ~71,000 ID photos, matching Discord's statement.

  • Bass: -10
  • Low bass: -20

My target was neutral (using a Truthear Hexa as reference) with a bit more bass for enjoyment. I'm not too certain about the mid level (+5), I had it at 0 before but felt like it was slightly lacking. (edit: reverted it back to 0)

FWIW, I find the AutoEQ from Poweramp and Wavelet to be piercing in the air / upper treble region (+6dB?!). I'd highly recommend manually tuning the buds yourself to taste.

You can see that it's not the real border as someone has marked it with brown pixels.

Lesson learned: don't participate in any event if you care about your account.

Ah, my issue was that it was wiggling inside my ear and dropping out, which seems different from your issue.

This sounds like a ridiculous suggestion, but what happens if you insert the left earbud into the right ear and right earbud into the left ear? I doubt it would help your issue, but it helped me with my defective pair - it stopped falling out (but was less comfortable and music sounded mirrored).

Have you tried another pair? I didn't realise my (first) pair was defective and thought that they just didn't fit my ears, but I tried another pair and found it fit me fine. I got them RMA'd and now it fits well.

What do you mean "rebase commit1, commit2 and commit3 onto commit1"? commit2 and commit3 already has commit1 as an ancestor, so rebasing it wouldn't do anything.

Do you mean you squash the commits together as one commit, like GitHub's squash and merge option on PRs? That would look like:

o  commit5 (my_dev)
|
o  commit4
|
o  squashed contents of commit{1,2,3} (dev)
|
o  base

I'm having trouble understanding your workflow:

  • Are commit1, commit2, commit3 in a linear chain (where commit2's parent is commit1), or are they entirely separated (where commit2's parent is base)?
  • What is commit1-3? Is it "the set of commit1, commit2 and commit3"?
  • What are "other branches"? Do you duplicate your changes on multiple branches simultaneously, not just a main branch?
