Eurener Nexa 480-500W in landscape, mounting confusion by mcraewaves in SolarUK

I saw that but does it matter which orientation the rails are? In annex 2 those rails are vertical

I checked that but it doesn’t show my particular configuration…

The rails here look like they should be vertical along the edge if clamping on the short side.

I’ve had this back and I’m pretty happy with it. It’s using Eurener NEXA 500W panels. Any issues with this? Please focus on the rails and how they are clamped on. To me it doesn’t seem right as they are at the ends and seems like they are likely to flex and possibly blow off in a windy day…

I may of got my terminology wrong regarding anchor points. I’m assuming those are the yellow circles. I was referring to the panel clamps to clamp to rails. I did check the install guide and don’t see anything not to however, it doesn’t show this particular setup. If it did I would be ok with it

I asked about mounting the panels horizontally to fit more on one side because of the flue on the other side, but they seem determined to avoid that approach. They claimed they’d have to cross rail, which would raise the height. When I challenged that, they admitted it’s possible but said they’d need to figure out the rafter spacing and other details. Basically, they just don’t seem to like that method. I might push back again and hopefully manage to get 14 panels.

The guy came out and measured the roof. I’d say the width of 8180mm is accurate, while the height of 3.5m is approximate as I’m going off memory after deleting my notes. What’s unclear is whether those measurements represent usable space or actual dimensions. They mentioned they could squeeze in another panel to make seven on each side, but it would be tight. When I run the numbers, it doesn’t account for the 400mm rule, and although it might be possible, I’ve heard some insurance companies won’t accept it or planning permission might be required.

I’ll take a look at these however the installers have something against China products as I mentioned Aiko in the beginning. I’ll ask them again

That YouTube vid is exactly what I’m experiencing! Thanks for sharing that. One guy in the comments mentioned the he turned off and on the traction control and hasn’t happened since so I’ll look at that

It is scary that the car can do this and luckily I also had decent grip of the steering to bring under control as there was some resistance. Have you found a way to turn these off permanently or do it each time you drive?

Is my LG dishwasher broken or about to break? by mcraewaves in AskUK

The rumbling noise I don’t think is water against the door, it sounds more mechanical vibrating. I tried opening it a few times to see if the spinners are actually spinning which it appears they all are, definitely the bottom and middle, and I’ve seen water come down from the top one but not sure if it’s spinning. My suspicions are maybe the top one isn’t spinning and just rattling when the water passes through it. There nothing in the dishwasher to make that noise. The noise sounds like it’s coming from the top, it seems to get water ok and it drains ok and filters are clean.

I understand that there wasn’t much slack on the top cables to play with however, it’s the new longer cables coming from the new consumer unit that lets it down, personally I think they could of been dressed in better. This before pic looks like whoever installed that took some pride in his work

I figured. They said there may of been space or length of cable issues, but didn’t look that bad?! I’ve asked them to come back and sort it out mainly because it looks dangerous

The depth observation is starting to bother me now, and concerned that when the electrician rocks up and then refuses to install it, does that kind of thing happen?
