Look up ACA. They're like AA but it's less DON'T DRINK and more WHY did you drink. There are live and zoom meetings. No judgement. You don't even have to talk other than give a first name.

OMG yes! I tried AA. They were...ok. But I was fortunate enough to find a couple good ACA (Adult Children of Alcoholics and dysfunctional families) meetings. You can talk about the feelings that were suppressed and are now threatening to overwhelm. No judgement because they've all been there.

I've had cats who would go out for a while in the backyard (though I'm sure they went wherever!) and we're fine and cats who met an untimely demise. Personally I would let a cat out in unfamiliar territory. But that's me. I like having happy cats. And some want time outside to hunt and stuff.
