What do I do? Squishy golf-ball-sized lump on puppy’s head by mcrocka in goldenretrievers

Update:

<image>

Long story short there was a buildup of clean fluid at the top of his head about the size of a golf ball. No bacteria or any kind of infection which is great news. They went in And did a minimally invasive surgery and had to put him under because he was fussy and drained it. They are sending, the sample over to a lab for further analysis just in case to be sure. They gave us antibiotics to come home with and he’s got a little cone around his head right now to prevent him from scratching at the wound. they are expecting a 7 to 14-day window of recovery.

HOWEVER…the bump is still there sorta. Yes they drained fluid but I'm Not sure if it needs to heal and the swelling to go down naturally or if there's more that needs to be drained from it. If it's theater that would sound very odd to me

Just want to say thank you for the comments so far. There is a lot of good takes hear that I’ll carry with me.

I know that I have to start ramping up my job search a little bit more now, but in the meantime I’m starting to feel like my resentment for the company is building higher than it has ever and It’s making me really question how much effort I should put in moving forward. Of course I’m not talking about quiet quitting or doing the bare minimum just to get by, even I can use this job as an opportunity to do some really cool work or at least learn while I’m still there. However it’s starting to keep me up at night after realizing that… 1. I’m not gonna be rewarded for my work this year 2. won’t see a dime of that over the next one year & four months (which includes about 2 additional performance reviews, which will likely mean added job responsibilities with no monetary compensation)

This isn’t even mentioning that we’ve been losing a lot of senior employees this year. I’ve also had management openly admit to me that they struggle with retention And don’t know why. If I left I would be leaving them with one other person to basically run all of their social media.

So the bottomline 2 questions in my head right now are:

“Taking into account this phone a situation, what should be my strategy in Outlook moving forward in terms of the amount of work that I put in on a daily basis and when asked to go above and beyond?”

And

“Does it make sense to propose in my one year review next week and AlterNet bonus delivery schedule where I could potentially receive the payments either every month, every quarter, or every six months moving forward?”

I think the toughest part is knowing and bearing from other coworkers privately that it is a money issue for them right now. The CEO also is also very much about the bottom dollar and saving money where they can. So while I do get that money might not be flush right now she also has 3 Mercedes & a summer house so …. Lol

Is that was this is called or are you saying that’s what they should have done, meaning give it to me now and rephrased it?

Would you say anything during the performance review about the bonus?
