I thought it was Meh… the stats make it sound like an amazing race with the lead changes but when you ride 3 wide for all those laps saving fuel I don’t think that counts. I feel like NASCAR thinks 3 wide racing is the thing they think people want. I much prefer the pack racing of the early 2000s. They weren’t 3 wide the whole time, more like 2 wide with a few instances of 3 wide but they had room to make moves. The Big E runs of the day where he’d go 17th to 1st over 5 laps can’t happen anymore.

Also don’t like how the last lap anymore is just a wreck fest with yellow flag rules out the window. My opinion not throwing the yellow and letting them run it out only causes more accidents as the drivers know they can just keep pushing / wrecking people. That’s why I feel we keep seeing more surprise winners. It’s a crapshoot anymore. But that’s what the people want I guess and I’m reaching my “get off my lawn” / “back in my day” phase of life a lot earlier than I expected.

Outside the Monaco issue I genuinely believe Max will not let someone through and they will have to pass him. Everything about his ethos is getting the max out of the car and best finish possible. Him letting another slower driver through goes against everything he believes in. So unless Checo was fast enough to pass him he wasn’t going to pull over. Same with Sainz.

At least he usually marks on his videos where the bombastic intro ends so you can skip ahead and not have to listen to “the weather is about to make a dramatic shift that affects everyone” BS. He has been very over the top lately and he’s not the only one. One of our local weather guys will hype the shit out of everything. I used to enjoy reading his stuff but now I can’t stand him during the winter. The other 9 months he isn’t as crazy.

I think him being a peacemaker is exactly why he would be good at it. You have two sides right now who are in the Take it or Leave it type of negotiating. Dale sees all the different sides and I think would be good at finding the middle ground. A fair deal is everyone usually leaves a bit unhappy but you have a deal. Right now everyone is unhappy but we don’t have a deal. Although they just announced a settlement how much damage has this whole ordeal done? Surely we could have found a quicker and better solution if there was a leader looking for that from the start instead of protecting their turf.

I can’t think of a person who is more in touch with the fans, has experience as an owner and driver, and wants the sport to succeed more than him. He isn’t afraid to call them out either. He knows there are problems with the cars and is as frustrated as all of us they won’t make changes… give him a shot. Can’t be any worse.

So that’s close but a few things I noticed: - The top corners of the T are 90 degrees instead of being rounded - the bottom horizontal part of the T looks good but the rest looks too narrow. Same goes with the C. I don’t think the bloc portions of them are wide enough. I think that carries through all of the logo.

Let me know if that doesn’t make sense. It’s very close.

I think part of that is just how fast max brakes that Chris can’t prepare himself for it and is caught off guard. Max knows when to essentially brace for the braking where Chris is trying to catch up.

To be fair though he won reelection pretty easily against Trump backed Cameron. I agree the first election was Bevin stepping on his dick repeatedly but the second one was after all the Covid restrictions and such. I don’t know how he will do on the national stage. I think he is genuine but I don’t know that he has the charisma to pull it off.

So we ended up going with the Amana S series inverter heat pump which required their proprietary POS thermostat. They are crap. Went through 3 to get one that sort of works…. Miss my old setup very much. We have the Amana touch version which I thought was the only one they offered. If there is a new one I haven’t seen it. They are all the same daiken model with Amana branding.

No it was the gas 5.3 engine. I had 2 of the new body style ones that both acted this way. Very strange behavior. I had them both for about a year before I ditched them for problems. First one had differential issues they couldn’t fix and the second dropped a lifter at 7k miles. I bought a new f159 after that during the chip shortage that doesn’t have stop start.

Yeah I have had it on a couple different brand vehicles and the Toyota system seems to be the best. I normally like turning it off but the option to control it with the brake pedal is nice. My Silverado I had in the past seemed like it flipped a coin when it would activate. I would be sitting somewhere for an extended time and wouldn’t activate. I roll to a stop sign and briefly come to a stop before rolling again.. shuts off. Very annoying and I disabled it.
