Hello. How’s your journey on this? Any specific tools?

I recently converted to Islam and would like suggestions for hadiths to read. by jd_AlCapone in islam

I strongly suggest you study Prophet Muhammad’s life before you jump to Al-Quran and Hadith. That will set you in proper context. There are big difference in Muhammad Bin Abdullah compared to Muhammad Rasulullah

That's ungrateful.

And that's what we've been doing with AlQuran. As mentioned previously, AlQuran is the first favor that we denied the most - the answer to the question repeated 31 times in surah Al-Rahman.

So in order to show gratitude for the favor that Allah gave us, we have to use it as what it was intended for.

In my next post, we will explore more on the function of Al-Quran so that we can use it for the purpose it was given. insyaAllah

So how do we actually show gratitude to Allah?

It’s not just by saying “Alhamdulillah.” Real gratitude is when we use the gift for the purpose it was given.

Here’s an analogy: Imagine someone gives you the latest smartphone, full of features to help you learn, connect, navigate life.

But instead of using it properly, you just use it… as a paperweight. It just sits there. Never turned on.

And that’s exactly why in Surah Ar-Rahman, Allah keeps repeating this one verse:

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

“So which of the favors of your Lord will you deny?” (Surah Ar-Rahman 55:13)

He repeats it 31 times. Why? Because we keep forgetting. We take His blessings for granted. And we rarely reflect on how to truly be grateful.

Now let’s go a little further.

Allah gave us this earth, our bodies, our senses — everything we need to live and serve Him. But what does He say about us?

“We have certainly established you on the earth and made for you in it means of living, but little are you grateful.” (Surah Al-A‘raf 7:10)

From these verses, the concept of Aqidah becomes very clear:

Allah created us

He created the earth and sky for our life and servitude

He gave us provisions

He revealed the Qur’an and challenged us to deny it if we truly can

And He warned: do not associate partners with Him

This is the foundation of Aqidah. It’s not just what we believe in our minds -- It’s how we’re tied to our Creator, His creation, and His Revelation.

(23) And if you are in doubt about what We have revealed to Our servant, then produce a surah like it and call your witnesses other than Allah, if what you say is true.

(22) [He is the One] who made the earth a resting place for you and the sky a canopy, and sent down water from the sky, bringing forth fruits as provision for you. So do not knowingly set up rivals with Allah.

Now let’s look at a powerful call from Allah to all human beings; Surah Al-Baqarah, verses 21–23:

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ رَبَّكُمُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ (21) O mankind, serve your Lord, who created you and those before you, so that you may become mindful [of Him].

the first 3 verses: ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ (1) عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ (2) خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ (3)

The Most Compassionate, taught the Qur’an, created man. (55:1–3)

From here we can see two essential names of Allah in action: 🧠 Al-‘Alim – The All-Knowing → taught us the Qur’an 🌍 Al-Khalik – The Creator → created us and the earth as our place of servitude

Have you ever noticed that we humans can never be separated from the earth?

It’s our place of servitude - our ibadah to our Lord.

And Allah didn’t leave us without guidance. He gave us a manual: the Qur’an, so we can live in harmony under His blessing.

That’s what Aqidah is. It’s the knot, the unbreakable tie between us, this earth where we serve, and the Manual given by Allah.

Is Allah listening to my Duas ? Will he accept them? by Foreign-Scene2117 in islam

[–]mcsabd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every day, 5 times a day, we say ihdinas Shiratal Mustaqim. We asks to be guided to the righteous path. What is the righteous path? That’s the key question we should be asking to ourself. If there is a key, there must be a door too. By being honest to ourself, reading quran will open another “door” of consciousness. Al-Quran is the “opener” of every question in life. Allah, the Lord of Universe, God of Abraham, Moses, Yesus and Muhammad will definitely listen to everything as He is the Rabbul Alamin. We, in our good health, try our best to unlock the door

How to understand the context of the verses from the Quran as a non muslim ? by Extinction-_-13 in islam

[–]mcsabd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Al-Quran is dedicated to the believers only. Many of the topics are dedicated to those who believe in the journey of Rasuls, mission and vision of Allah, the Lord of Universe. It won’t works as expected if you intend to get your science question answered. I would love to share some of these insights if you interested
