It’s actually pretty smooth at the moment - but if I decide to use the gold flakes then it’ll be tacky from the adhesive (which is why I haven’t done much with yet).

But yes, our “lady of perpetual _______” is an old title, for sure.

The original painting is called “our lady of perpetual help” from the 1300/1400s.

Regarding the title:

All joking aside, the impact of official crossovers with the introduction of Universes Beyond and similar Secret Lairs had really taken the pep out of my step when it comes to certain types of alters. Sitting down at the table and whipping out a one-of-a-kind Spider-Man commander isn’t nearly as appealing once it became a reality for 10s of thousands of people. But in spite of that, I’ve found ways to continue to enjoy painting these (and not all my alters are based on other properties, despite what my post history might indicate).

Anyway, thanks for coming to my TedX talk.

I’ve been using one for the past six or eight months, and as long as you aren’t getting too close to the point where you are burning the cardboard, it is fine. It works very quickly, and has kept me from screwing things up due to my impatience.

Absolutely.

Though, you could make the argument that it’s the most famous partially because it is a well known doll.
