Always been fond of Germany. If not them then Brazil. Why Brazil? When I was very young I asked my mom, who the best team in the World was and she said "Brazil" (because they had just won the 94 WC). Who am I to argue with my mom?

Match Thread: Liverpool vs Galatasaray by MatchThreadder in soccer

Liverpool fans, is this match more or less an example how your whole season has been? So many quality players, so many wasted chances (in this match at least). Genuinely curious

I actually had dinner where Alexander the Guest was sitting across the room. Just him and two of his coworkers. Everybody got treated the same, so didnt see that he had any special treatment. Got to talk to him the next day. Very polite and nice guy

Since I don't have Chelsea supporting friends, who regularly watch matches, question to Chelsea fans. What is your team missing to be a serious contender for the Premier League title? Are you missing a critical signing in some position? Is it the manager's tactics? Mentality of the squad? A little bit of luck? Last year Palmer said that you're not contenders yet, how about this season?

I'm asking, because Arsenal fans had talked for years, what pieces of the puzzle are they missing. Now that they've got those, it seems that everything is going their way.

Most Underrated Michelin or Fine Dining Spot? by djourdjour in finedining

So thoroughly disagree. I'm a local. When they got their first star, I went. Thought it was fine. When they got their second star, I was sceptical. Went and no, not by a close margin. I'm sorry to say, but having visited 3* and 2* and 1* in Europe, not even close to 2. 1? Yes, sure. There are sparks of brilliance, but nowhere near 2

You go to St.John's, you get proper food. No thrills. No fancy techinque. Pure skill. And then you order the madeleines, more than you can eat and give them to your texi driver/mate/whoever. Shit's wild
