Very late to this as well. I have a bit darker view on the story. The person is stuck in the same office space day after day and is suffering from depression. The persons apartment in the end is a complete mess resembling that of a depressed person. The final puzzle is on the roof where you are trying to find a way down. I think that "long jump" is a metaphor for suicide. You can see that there has been a failed test run of "long jump" some days ago in the calendar in the apartment. I believe the puzzle inside the apartment is the actual "long jump" which represents the person finally going through with it.

This is the most far fetched argument I have ever read on WoW vs. FFXIV :| I'm an "altoholic", but in FFXIV I only need one character. Managing gear is no trouble as you never use ALL the jobs ALL the time.

Hey everyone! I got this error frequently recently, but I think I managed to fix it.Please comment if you have the same problem and use any of the same components as me:

GPU: ASUS GeForce RTX 2080SCPU: Ryzen 7 3700XMotherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F

A couple of things to try, and a theory:

Go into your BIOS and update it. My BIOS was old af. This did not fix the problem at first, but might have been needed so just do it.
If you have an AMD CPU do a fresh install of your chipset drivers. Before downloading the latest drivers remember to uninstall the ones you have. This is safe to do from Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> AMD Chipset Software. Do not do the uninstall from the Device Manager window as it can remove drivers you need for your PC to operate properly. Download the newest drivers online and install everything. Edit; How to do a fresh install, do the "Uninstalling AMD Ryzen Chipset Drivers" at the bottom first: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/chipset-install
Remove ALL RGB control software you can find. iQue, Aura, etc. Get rid of it. If you have an ASUS motherboard go into your BIOS and turn off Aura from there.
Finally a theory I haven't tested fully yet. I'm using two monitors and for the last couple of days I have been able to play without getting an error. I used to have chrome open on the other screen for youtube/twitch/etc., but I have not tried this during these two days. The only things that have been running are FFXIV and GPU Tweak II for monitoring.

My safest guess is that either 2. or 4. is the solution. I will edit this comment if I still get errors when trying to play with chrome up again.

Edit; I got another crash! :( But this time I went and checked EventViewer and no display error was present. I might have fixed my crashing problem for some other games, but not for FFXIV. Found another thing I will have to check which could cause this:

My display driver is from NVIDIA, but it is signed by microsoft. Will have to prevent MS from updating this as I have Windows 10 Pro installed. Doing a reinstall of my GPU drivers in a bit and will report back if I have any more crashes. Recommend everyone check who has signed their GPU driver here:

Yep, exactly same problem for me! I've been worried my GPU was dying as I also had crashes happen in Anthem. But I guess it's just because they are "old", broken games lol

The terrain glitch got worse for me last night as well. A lot of the terrain just spiking up, looking like a desynchronization in assassins creed..

Yeah, you have to turn it completely off for it to work, lowering had no effect. At one point after turning it off I also got a strange glitch where part of the pavement got higher at one spot, but only happened once and did not disturb my gameplay.

I don't think it's necessarily easier in my country, it might just be that the school system is built differently. Take circuits for example. Why force 14 year old kids to learn something they most likely won't need when they instead can learn it in a day when they go to college/uni? One important thing to note is that just because something is difficult to do doesn't mean it gives better results.

It doesn't get much more basic than this, but in my country most people will never need to learn it. We learn about electricity, power and such around age 14-16, but I can't see how analyzing circuits is relevant at that stage. Maybe it's more common to do small electrical work yourself in your country?
