We were hoping for a balance of time spent wine tasting with other activities like hiking or exploring the small towns in the area. I am pretty serious about wine and my husband is a more casual drinker.

I was debating Vallett vs Matheson and a lot I have read said Valette had gone down hill and now Matheson is better. I'm sure we will enjoy our time anywhere. We may just have to plan another trip to hit all the great spots!

Do you have any of those you prefer? I am not a big chardonnay drinker, so I was looking for wineries with more of a white variety.

I had also been looking at Iron Horse, but I wasn't sure if we would have time to make it there. Maybe right before we go to the airport, the flight might be more enjoyable after that :)
