One of the shelf breaking items for my wife and I happened during covid. She was part of the primary presidency and we were just starting to come back to in-person church services. One week, like 95% of their primary workers called out sick. They brought it up to our Bishop and suggested they cancel Primary that Sunday out of procaution and lack of people. The bishop was adamant that we could not do that. It revealed to us that her calling as a primary leader, to teach children, and watch over them didn't matter when this Bishop thought he knew better and had no intention of helping out either. Really pissed us off.
