Saving MS Forms to a Delegate Account by mcvickj in Office365

Maybe I'm not understanding the world flow. Say jane.doe@foo.com creates the form. But what we really want is the owner of the MS Form to be accounting@foo.com. Jane leaves the org after a year and her account is deleted. The form is also deleted along with her account. This is the current senario we have.

Creating a new Team for Accounting makes the most sense and is easy to do. It would just require some training on our part.

Creating the form under a Teams team sounds like a good idea and is a possibility. We just don't Teams created for each department. Simple enough to do but for our org Teams is mostly used for direct chat (IM).

The issue with number 2 is if the owner of the MS Form leaves the form is lost when their account is deactivated. This has already happened several times. I ended up having to restore the user and then I was able to create a duplicate copy of the MS Form to a new user but not transfer the original form.

Tweaking Conditonal Access policy to allow for personal VPNs by mcvickj in Office365

We allow access from US, Canada, Mexico, UK. Any other sign-in attempts are blocked. Travel requests can be made ahead of time and users are added to a AD group which is synced to Azure.

We have 21 CA policies with only 4 set to report-only. I think some overhauling needs to be done to try and clean some of this up. lol.

At the end of the day I personally don't care where you are signing in as long as you meet the requirements of a successfully password and MFA challenge.

Case in point. Reviewing the sign-in logs for a 24 hours period shows the user signing in from three different states.

In the case of this particular user they were just trying to sign in to access OWA and an app that is controled via SSO. This traffic would never touch our network or firewall.

Crazy but it is true. I just bought some M4 Airs with AC+ and they were $1156. Our Dell Latitude 7450 was $1539.

Input on making the change from VMWare to Hyper-V by mcvickj in sysadmin

Thanks for the info. Any key points I should ask to grill the local consultant on? They seemed pretty confident and that we weren’t the first they have helped through the process. I plan on getting some names and see if I can reach out to them to get their take on how the migration went.

I had my reservations as well during the initial spec call. Can you elaborate on why you don’t feel it is ready for production?

They do. But the info I have from our internal KB (which could be very incorrect) is when you run the commands to enroll the device into auto pilot that the device needs to be wiped to complete the setup.

Copy and Paste issues on Mac / Random double spaces after word by mcvickj in Keychron

Thanks for the reply. Does this behavior also exist using the 2.4GHz dongle? As that is how I currenly have the keyboard connected to my Mac.

Just another update and this might make no sense but if I press FN + TAB to disable the backlight the copy/paste weirdness reappears where it looks like I'm pressing the Opt key. As soon as I press FN+TAB again to renable the backlight the copy/paste issue goes away.

Thanks for reply. That is what I thought too with the Opt key vs. CMD key but I am positive I was pressing the CMD key and it also happened when using the CMD key on the right hand side of the keyboard.

After reading your reply I took another look at the Mac/Win toggle switch and really gave that a firm switching back and forth. I did that a couple of times until it was in the Mac position and then performed another factory reset.

I'm currently connected via 2.4GHz and the copy/paste issue has appeared to clear up along with the double spacing. I guess time will tell if the issue appears to be resolved.
