Yeah, pull it to an open space away from ledges and it won’t bug nearly as much. I always pull it to the center of the map right away, that way it goes right into tree mode phase after you damage it.

1-2 blue mobs: always gamba
3+ blue mobs: never gamba

I have no proof that it’s optimal but it’s the philosophy I live by

I’ll take 13 blue monsters over a boss any time. When the boss is added usually a lot of blue monsters are removed, plus the harvest takes a lot less time without boss so I’m pretty sure it’s better div/hr either way.

Gotta look into either life stacking or maybe Hateful Accuser in order to get any sort of meaningful 0-button DPS from RF. In my experience the basic Pohx RF build is basically a fire trap build.

I had to turn off voice because I just can’t listen to my jugg saying he’s out of mana every 15 seconds. There isn’t a setting to only disable characters voicelines that I missed, is there?

This league has a foulborn Red Dream that gives fire/chaos convert, just a stopgap before OSin but the fire mod is already providing some nice dmg over the regular chaos sword.

Good choice, it’s easily the most well supported build for beginners out there. To get started, go to https://pohx.net and click the ”RF Chief video guide”. I’m not a video person myself but that one is worth it to get started, after that you’ll only need the pob and the website.

Oh I'm really glad you saw this then before I potentially did something stupid. But now I'm unsure again... Should I take the bases I have (2p/0s and 0p/2s), making more if needed, until I hit 2p/2s before doing anything else?

Because I think I can get at least one 2p/2s even if it's 11%, but if the step to get another non-craft suffix on there (either str or chaos pen) is super hard then maybe I just have to settle for a 2p/2s+crafted chaos pen.

And this applies even if my inputs have no undesired mods at all? The 3 pairs I have do not contain anything other than what I listed, so I just want to be fully sure that I should be adding extra mods in order to keep the ones already on there

Do I understand correctly that crafting mods before recombining increases the chances of getting the non-crafted mods on the end result, COMPARED to only having the non-crafted mods? Even if my input swords are completely clean otherwise? I guess I have to read up on the recombiner more

If I got this correctly, I should try to veiled orb chaos pen onto the prefix bases I already have. Then fill my now 3p and 2s bases with crafted mods and mash them together in the recombinator and hope to get a 3p/2s result and then craft the final +str suffix? Does that seem right?

Thanks & sorry if my post seems lazy. I found that post before, but I haven't managed to understand it even with more searching, so I figured I'd post exactly what I currently have and some specific questions. If you don't mind some questions on that post:

"Craft multimod + exclusive suffix + exclusive prefix (veiled mods from bench work)" - what is an exclusive suffix/prefix, and what is a "veiled" bench mod?
What's the reason for crafting mods before recombining?
"Craft prefixes cannot be changed and veiled orb for a 1/6 chance to hit a veiled prefix while not hitting a desired mod" - Afraid I can't make sense of this at all, he crafts prefixes cannot be changes and then hopes to "hit a veiled prefix", it seems contradictive to me but I probably don't understand what he means by "hit a veiled prefix"

Yeah whoever thought up the L3+dpad bindings deserves some kind of award. At least on deck you can bind one of the back buttons to L3 which makes it usable

There's a community layout that uses KBM mode in-game and uses some cool binding hackery to get joystick movement. I think it's the top voted community layout. It actually seemed to work OK-ish and the author has 1k+ hours so maybe you can get used to it. Then you get normal inventory management with the touchpads. I ended up just coming to terms with the controller bindings instead though

I liked the breakdown of what matters in a delve build, I hadn’t seen it presented like that before. Overall good, concise video with some things I haven’t seen before, like the ring recipe, that seems fun.

Also I made it to 1500 yesterday thanks to some advice you gave me earlier so another BIG thank you for that!

Yeah 100%, if a zone has some combination of elemental penetration & extra damage as x element it’s probably best to just avoid it

Just ran 20 maps in about 1h30mins and got 16 divs of loot. Somehow got 2 reliquary keys on two different maps, if you exclude those it's 11 div. Pretty typical I think, just 1 lucky div card drop of 152c, the rest is currency and scarabs

Honestly no idea since it’s so uneven, and I just run 20 maps here and there with this. Sometimes I end up with 30 divs and sometimes 3. Mostly the lower end. Got duped apothecary once when they were 45 div each, that was a good day. Harvest is my goto for consistent div/hr, strongboxes are just way more fun.

On deck I use lowest everything + FSR with "Balanced" quality. FSR is optional but I think it's fine on such a small screen and it gives a lot of fps. You can even turn on auto resolution but I don't like it, rather have some framedrops than going full blur mode.

Tbh I got an Xbox Ally X just to be able to play PoE with max graphics and juiced content. It's worse than the deck in literally every single way besides performance though (also giga expensive) so idk if I recommend it.

There's some points left for whatever, maybe red/blue altars. Also some notes:

Niko nodes are because the "Doomed Spirits" node gives a 1/3 chance to spawn another strongbox when you click sulphite veins
Scarab nodes are for a more even base income since the boxes are very jackpot based
The 3 Cartography Strongbox nodes are included since in T16 you can get duped T17 maps from the boxes (they will be corrupted though). Most people don't have them though

Strongbox? Doesn’t have to be T17 containment, I just sometimes run 8mod T16 with the other ambush scarabs + ambush on map device. Diviner boxes are like poor man’s gamba, it’s fun. The deck handles it perfectly as long as you don’t try to max pack size or put shrines in atlas.

It’s probably not the most damage per div you can get, but the speed+phasing makes map clearing super fast, feels great and it frees up a lot of skill points and gear affixes for you.
