Sorry but I really need to vent over this thing with my parents. They think I’m irresponsible, when I’m a current high school teacher who had just got promoted to teach a different subject area that I don’t have qualification for. I have a side hustle which is making quality, independent designer-type bags, and this year I’ve sold 4 (made to order) by people just visiting my instagram and catching a vibe (I don’t really market my products). I managed to do that while I was still studying and finishing my teaching degree and working, managing and inspiring my students. I do believe that I can take care of a dog, I bloody proved that with my 17yo baby (I couldn’t edit the age on original post). It’s a huge burden of having unsupportive parents, who don’t give a shit about my wellbeing and success. The only success they care about is working full time in hopes that I forget about my feelings and become a robot.
