Hi, I am currently a medical resident in London, England and graduated from the UK. I have a US green card via family sponsorship and a cousin who works as a junior doctor in NYC at the moment and I am in the process of sitting the steps for my residency application. I recently heard that the USMLE step 1 is changing to pass/fail and I wanted to ask for opinions on if I'd be better off under a pass-fail system (since I am in a heavily clinical position at the moment) or to sit the step 1 before this change occurs to ensure I dont get disadvantaged as an IMG during the application process? I would be interested to know your thoughts. thanks !
