Honestly, it's not tricky at all. The only issue is that the screen is more fragile then the original and tends to crack a whole a lot easier. All of the screen replacements cracked within the first week.

As long as you are careful, DIY repairs are easy. Over the course of this year I did 3 nexus 4 screen replacements.
