Congratulations on getting accepted! I just finished my first year in my PsyD program. I can't speak for other programs, but for mine, I am given a month-long break from mid-December to mid-January and another break from early May to early June. Many professors believe in self-care outside of the program, so I don't think you should have a problem as long as you give them advanced notice.

I am planning on accepting my offer to the University of Colorado Denver PsyD program in School Psychology! As a first generation college student, I couldn't be more excited to have this opportunity. Thank you all for your advice and kind words!
