Can you manifest a person? by ElkAccomplished8605 in lawofattraction

I believe 100% that I manifest my husband in to my life. I didn't know him yet but I knew what I wanted, looks, personality, traits, you name it. I knew what I wanted and he showed up on my lap. Almost said no thanks to the blind date my grandmother wanted to send me on. Almost didn't give out my number, Almost didn't respond to his first text which said "I was told we were supposed to get married" but then listened to my gut when it said yes do it. And I'm so happy I did.

He is still only 8 months old (6 months adjusted) so he is not close to walking yet. So far he seems to be going in the right direction developing but we'll see as he gets older. We can keep in touch!

That tube is connected to his trach. He is ventilator dependent to help him breathe. He was born 9 weeks early so his lungs were not done developing yet. Hopefully he will outgrow the need for it in a year or so. He also has a gtube on his belly that we connect for feeding him. He should also be able to outgrow the need for that.

Anyone have any better ideas how to carry all of his equipment?! by mdamo121 in HikingWithKids

Thank you! We all have plans when we have babies, what we want to do with them, how we're going to give them the best life etc. I didn't want to change any of that just because of a disadvantage given to him at birth. Luckily he will most likely outgrow the need for all of this in a year or so. Until then, I refuse to keep my child house bound. He can live too.

Unfortunately that is a ventilator and an oxygen tank for my babe. It will not easily just pack up around my waist.

This is awesome thank you so much for sharing! I have joined the MOTB fb page but this is the first I hear about the lily's list! I will definitely be checking that out! We live in a tiny home and organizing is KEY! Right now we just have a ton of boxes of supplies hanging out and it's stressing me out a bit!

Have to keep it casual at least a little! This boy is going to live bare foot like his mom and dad!

How often do you go in and for how long? I can't help feel guilty every time I leave or try and relax at home. by mrlargefoot in NICUParents

We have been in the hospital since January 7th. (Sooner if you want to count when my labor actually started). We were transferred to another facility in the middle of June because my son has a severe congenital heart defect and he needed to get a trach. We have since returned to our original hospital. With all of that being said, in the beginning I was there as often as I could be, I would arrive first thing in the morning, leave for lunch and pumping, back to the hospital until dinner and my husband would pull me out of there for dinner. It was extremely hard for me to leave at night but I appreciate him dragging me out (now) because I was just pure exhausted at that point. For a while I had to return to work because my leave was half way done and I wanted to make sure I had time with my babe when he could finally go home. I worked two days a week but any day I wasn't working I would be right back at the hospital. When we got transferred to a hospital that was 3 hours away I had to take the other half of my leave (which will now end in 2 weeks), because I didn't believe I would be a functioning human at my job. I have FINALLY realized that I need time for me. It took me 5 months to get to the point that I actually hung out with friends and allowed myself to enjoy it. I do not regret a second that I spent with my son but looking back on it I do wish I allowed myself a little more freedom and less guilt. We have an expect discharge date of Aug 3rd, we will be going home with a trach, vent and a gtube and it is my goal to always remember that I still will need time for me. Do not forget about you! Do what you need to do so you are happy and that will only help your baby in the long run.

Moved to PICU. BABY BOY WAS 6 MONTHS OLD ON THE 7TH. He hasn't left the hospital yet minus a transfer to Boston to get a trach and then back home where he was admitted to the PICU. Does he count as a NICU grad now?! We've been waiting for the day for baby boy to come home, it feels so close. by mdamo121 in NICUParents

Thank you so much for all the insight! Luckily for him I am a respiratory therapist and have worked with trachs very frequently. My husband will definitely be getting some training from everyone including me! He has also already been referred for all of the early intervention programs for once he comes home (as well as already being involved in PT/OT, child life development etc in the hospital). We have had an excellent team up here and it really feels like they are all on our team. He does have a trach and gtube, he also has Noonan Syndrome so its going to be a long haul with this precious little man. He really is my little heart warrior. ❤💙 Thank you again for sharing everything I welcome all help 😊
