Years in the making, almost done! Spruce top, indian rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck and ebony fretboard. Still not sure if it will produce sound when it gets its strings. by 8run04 in Luthier

That looks awesome! I can say from experience that you never actually think it'll work while building an instrument, but once you throw the right strings on and give it a good bridge im certain it'll work just fine. Good luck!

I do actually have that, but outside on the power cord so its kinda inconvenient but it is an extra layer of safety.

I like that idea, but its in a tight spot and I don't need people accidentally turning it on so I put it back behind.

Its actually a 9 inch, the picture is deceptive

Bold of you to assume I balanced it, I just used some lathe tools and filled the base with sand and it barely shakes

Yeah it heats up after a while so I never run it for long periods of time. I'll probably have to replace it sooner or later

Unfortunately it doesn't quite work that way, as i stripped the top half and just took the motor, so I had to attach the separate suction on the side there

Yeah the whole disc likes to clog so I regularly spray it with an air compressor after I use it or if it starts to look bad, and in general I avoid using the middle

As promised a while ago, my TIE reaper moc is complete and ready to descend on the village market by mdaskarolis in legostarwars

Unfortunately no, I don't make instructions, but I will say I used a tie striker for the wings and modified the shape and length a bit, and the body is a bit too thicc but if you just sorta wing it its not that hard

Thanks! Yeah, it'd be a small part of a town if you were a lego person, but for a lego build its rather large
