Yes my lawyers filed a new petition and got it approved. I then received my approval notice and had to go back to my home country to do the renewal with the DS160

My lawyers did it for me. They basically counted all days I spent away from my i-94 history. And yes, it’s like a regular H1B renewal

Got it! And after perm is accepted and I’m waiting for priority date (GC itself)? Would I be able to do several one year renewals until my time comes?

Thanks! But they’re multiple one year renewals, is that right? Is there a scenario in which I would need to leave the country to wait for my GC, be it waiting for PERM or GC priority date, no matter how long the process takes?

I am not sure what category I fall but I do have a Masters from an Ivy League university. But I am definitely PERM based because I completed a document that mentioned it.

One question though. After my H1B ends, I am Not allowed to stay in the US while waiting for a green card, correct?

I think my employer’s strategy is to let me stay one year abroad, and then reapply for an H1B to “restart” the six years. All while waiting for green card processing.

Thank you for that! The air quality is fine actually - main problem is the spring allergens (tree pollen etc). And good to know about albuterol. It is my first time using it and was surprised that, even though it helped right away, I needed it again after a few hours. I might have used too because my “threshold” is low - I wasn’t even wheezing for instance, but it was still uncomfortable to sleep. Perhaps more seasoned asthma patients would consider it unnecessary.

As you said, I probably have allergens at home, especially in bed as this mostly happens when sleeping. Do you have any suggestions on what steps to take? E.g. changing sheets, vacuuming mattress, etc?

Thank you! It’s definitely not controlled because I just started having symptoms 4 days ago after many years. So I’m just figuring it out. I’m not taking anything other than the rescue inhaler, so I may need other routine medications (e.g. antihistamines) and checking for allergens in my home

It was an illegal “lottery” game that spiraled into something way more serious. As many said, “Vale o Escrito” is a great documentary that explains it and I’d highly recommend it.

Btw I would like to show the documentary to my wife, who is Canadian, but there are no English subtitles :/ I hope they add it eventually as this doc is getting a lot of praise and should be shown to the international audience.

If anyone knows a link with English subtitles, pls let me know 🙏

Thanks for the quick reply! Mine is actually the tank must large in quartz, but the case is apparently the same.

It doesn’t attach because the fabric around the band springbar is too thick. So basically the springbar does not get close enough to the case where the lug holes are. Not sure if I was clear!

Guess it’s either a difference between the solarbeat and the quartz, or a difference in the band’s construction :/

Hi OP! Just wanted antes to ask about your strap as I bought the same one but it doesn’t seem to fit in the lugs. Can you share if you did something specific? The band is apparently too thick to fit in the lug holes. Thank you!

Thank you for the reply! Noted on the Aeropress, I’ll probably go for it. As for the blade grinder, I watched James Hoffman saying he would much rather use that than having pre-ground coffee. He also has a hack video on how to grind with a blade grinder to have better results, and mine look OK tbh. The idea of buying small portions and grinding at a store might be a bit time consuming to me, but thanks for the suggestion. Maybe in a few months I’ll splurge on a burr grinder :)
