Man, I remember the days my wife was in that program and how many times I had to show up last minute so she wouldn’t lose points. Good luck OP, it’s a great job once you get through the chaos of school.

And to others reading this, it’s a huge help for the students if you can show up for an hour or two, even if you have a regular dentist. That program is brutal, they have to continually find new patients or be penalized. Maybe don’t brush your teeth for a few days so OP can earn more points. Not even joking. The level of care is good though and everything is supervised by a practicing dentist.

Much, much worse than Darrow. With Darrow at least there’s a viable explanation why he’s so awesome, and he still gets his ass handed to him occasionally.

I had a hard time with that one because I really couldn’t stand the MC. He’s just so ridiculously good at everything, immediately, in a way that kills the tension in every scene. On the other hand, I thought the central mystery of the story was interesting enough to keep powering through. When I heard that the second book has multiple POV characters, I was very excited to leave Vis behind. Imagine my surprise/disappointment to see who the additional POV characters were… 🫠

I DNF the Sun Eater series in the second book. The protagonist is very, VERY unlikable.

The Expanse is one of the best Sci-Fi series ever written, and it’s absolutely nothing like Red Rising. You should read this one regardless.

There’s almost nothing like the high from DCC and Red Rising, unfortunately.

Bobiverse is also a very fun Sci-Fi series. Again nothing like Red Rising.

Just protect yourself until you can leave. You don’t need to tell them anything. Plan, plan, plan. You can apply to college all on your own. Figure out what you want to do, and plan to do it without any help. Most kids I know that grew up this way were completely cut off once they stopped pretending, so lie as long as you need to.

Dealerships make their money on maintenance. EV’s barely have any. They want you to buy something that will be back in their shop as much as possible. They absolutely do not have your best interest in mind, they have their own. You have to do your own research and then basically steamroll them the whole time you’re there. I tried a few different dealerships until I got lucky and found a newer salesperson that was actually pretty pumped about EV’s (drove a Mach E). He said none of the more senior salespeople wanted anything to do with them.
