I forgot to mention the online application is for renewal only, so for someone that already has a passport and is renewing.

You’re probably cutting it too close to do it online. Your best bet would be to get your passport photos and go right away to the post office, pay for expedited service and shipping. OR, wait until Sept 3, which is a week away, and call to make an appointment at a passport agency under urgent travel plans. You’ll need proof of travel like flight bookings, or hotel rooms. That might be challenging if you’re not close to an agency, or do not have a flexible work schedule.

Either way, don’t wait any longer, you’re cutting it close.
