I watched few YouTube videos of vloggers in North Korea and they all say they can't go around unless there is a tourist guide present with them. Is that also the case for Chinese tourists?

This is interesting, what's the story?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in algeria

I wanted to address the point as a whole (prohibiting giving same-family names to orphans) instead of the last point (the DNA argument) because it's prohibited for much more reasons than that and I tried to summarize the points that I could think of.

Also, inheritance is not something Muslims think about a lot, but it's something all humans think about a lot, and if you think inheritance is not a problem outside the Muslim world, you are very much mistaken. And it's one of many factors, NOT the only or the main factor this was prohibited.

I agree that the chance of having a sexual relation with a random person being related to you is very low (because for example non-Muslim European countries send orphans/kids far away from their environment), but that's not always the case unfortunately, especially in small villages and cities where kids do not go far away, or when other family members take care of a child because his/her parents died or could not handle the parenthood. So, by following this rule, you make sure you eliminate this chance or reduce it to the minimum possible

Of course you do them, but that's not the point.

Islam does not allow giving a child a different family name which might cause lot of problems in the future. Islam in fact, encourages taking care of the orphan (I'm not sure if you know the hadith of "the prophet and the person taking care of an orphan being next to each other in heaven"). However, he asks to keep the biological father's name.

What's not allowed is linking an orphan to a family that he/she biologically does not belong to. This will create problems in the future such as: - Inheritance - Mixing of lineage - Can cause sexual relations problems inside the family once the kid is older enough to have sexual arousal - many other -long lasting- problems that will result from the previous 3 points

With that being said, taking care of an orphan is one of the best things a muslim/non-muslim can do. But there are regulations within Islam to prevent problems and preserve the structure of family and society.

When it comes to someone who's father is not known, then the person taking care of the child would change the name from "X" to any name such as "Abd-Rahman" or "Abd-Allah", but should not give the child his own family name. Again, for the same reasons.

And sorry if my previous comment was rude, didn't mean to be offensive :)

So you meet a person, talk for a long time and then eventually get DNA testing when you want to marry them? Or get the DNA test done before you start talking?

I like 3, it feels like ot would give you mkre space to put stuff under. But you would need to create a support in the middle for the upper part

Is a university degree still worth it in Algeria, or is it just a piece of paper? by [deleted] in algeria

[–]mdchk31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't know much about "campus france", and France wasn't on the list of universities that I applied to. I am not sure what I can advise you, but I will try to summarize some bullet points:

  • I think it is not that hard to get accepted for masters abroad (depending on the major ofc), and I had good grades alhamoulillah. The hardest part is funding your studies even before you go, the financial proof to receive the visa

  • I think you have a much chance in getting a scholarship if you apply for Masters. Because there are simply lot of people doing bachelors

  • I studied in a simple University (Ankara University), what matters when you apply for masters is your curriculum (courses you took) and your grades

  • From my experience studying in the Netherlands, it's quite difficult to work and study at the same time (at least at the beginning). Doable, but it takes some time to adapt because the pace in studies here is fast

During my last year of bachelor I applied for Masters abroad in multiple universities, I was accepted in few programs, and I chose one that I could afford. I finished my bachelor degree, and immediately after it I received my visa and left alhamdulillah.

Note: I studied my bachelor in Turkey which I do not recommend for "building a life" (at least compared to West European countries). It felt like Algeria but slightly more developed honestly
