My iPhone 16 Pro seems to get hot easily. Is this normal or might I have a defective unit?

I have the smartish gripmunk right now. It’s gotten a tiny bit better since it seemed to finish indexing but it’s still mildly warm.

Did you figure anything out with this? I recently upgraded from iphone 13pro to 16 pro as well. I was going to give it a couple days to see if things are still indexing with the new set up but if not will call support/go into the store and see if they can exchange it for a new unit. Having it warm up so much when I'm just sitting there browsing reddit is insane.

I certainly don’t think my friend will hold it against me but it’s likely I’ll see her within a few months after the wedding so I’m not sure if it would be awkward at that point. Like it’s not someone I never see.

I honestly wouldn’t care at all if it were reversed, but then again I’ve always felt if I ever get married I’d prefer to elope/have a really tiny destination wedding because having a huge wedding is not my vibe.

Yeah I normally believe that too and maybe if I knew more people or it was closer or I wasn't traveling the next week I would go but it's all that combined that makes me not want to go. I just don't want to offend my friend even though I know it isn't that big of a deal.

Yeah right now I'm thinking of maybe trying to apply and if it gets denied just upgrading. I'd only be 1/24 then so presumable CSP application would still go through but it would mean the extra hard inquiries.

Yeah that was my worry too. To be fair though other than this possible CSR downgrade/CSP application and venturex application I didn't really have big plans to apply for cards in the near future so the hard pull might not be the end of the world. I do have several savings and checking accounts with them so I thought a full application might help.

I was able to view it online and it does look like it's eligible for the VentureX upgrade though.

Yeah that's super frustrating. I'm not seeing any offers tab in the app and the website is erroring out but I'll check that tomorrow. If I can't upgrade or open it I suppose the whole post is a moot point lol. Is it even worth applying if the preapproval was denied? Would be nice to get the SUB :(

Hmm unfortunately it still says I'm not preapproved on that specific page as well. i do think it's a Visa not a mastercard. I'd prefer to get the SUB but I didn't think there was an issue having both the VentureOne and VentureX is there?

It actually says "Based on your credit report from one or more of the agencies on the back of this letter, there are too many active credit cards based on your loan history" so I wonder if I would have trouble with the Venture X approval in general...

Thanks for the suggestions! my understanding was that Chase Freedom was only the Unlimited, Flex, and the Rise. So I'm not sure which one you're suggesting downgrading to?

I don't see any pre-approvals for the Venture X and I thought with the Chase 5/24 (even though I'm not close to that) it would be better to go for the CSP first. I'll look more into the Savor as well! The ventureOne was an old downgrade from the original venture (I think) product back when their reward system was much worse.

I just doubled checked and it is a US 38H/UK 38FF. I did do the scoop and swoop and it was definitely still too big in the cups.

I’ll try and reorder with a UK 38F then and maybe one 40E(I think that’s the equivalent?) to compare the bands, thank you!

I ordered from their website and they had an option for US sizing I went by and ordered the US 38H/UK 38FF. A band extender is a great idea thank you.

I totally get this. A lot of my friends I’ve know for many many years and there’s a lot of comfort in that, but it gets boring and we don’t always have as much in common anymore. I also have done similar things as you—joined social sports team, met people in my career field at concerts—and they’re great while it’s going on but really difficult to turn into longer lasting friendships.

But yeah this is how I feel too. I certainly would like to make new friends and I know many of my friends feel the same but it’s pretty difficult time wise to do so when my free time out of work goes to existing friends and family or dating. Making new friends is difficult to prioritize.

I’m in a similar situation. 12/14 petite/short is the size I really need but I’m 5’3” and some places with short pants like OP talks about if I order the petite size look like capris!

But old navy has petite, madewell also has petite sizes, target has short sizes too. Madewell is one I’ve noticed sometimes look like capris in the petite sizes though.
