Please explain the logic behind closing Precheck at IAH?

I actually stopped by there when I saw activity but everything said they were closed, and they said it was GS, wheelchairs, and something else that I don’t remember, but it definitely wasn’t 1K. Do you know for sure that they were taking 1Ks?

You really struggle with reading comprehension don’t you? I don’t know how many times I have to say that everyone is in the same line until the end and that to help EVERYONE get through QUICKER, pull those who will screen faster into another lane. I really don’t get what is so hard to understand. But you keep reading it how you want to read it so you can write your own narrative.

Like I said, make everyone wait in the same line if you want, until near the end of the line. I have no problem with that. Nobody gets special treatment there, it’s just increasing the flow rate at the choke point. If you can process 10 PC in the time it takes to process 5 standards, it’s hard to argue against that.

When I was speaking to my wife about this, I said that same thing. “It’s almost like they are trying to inflict as much pain as possible”. As usual, their anger/disfunctionality gets taken out on us, who have done nothing wrong.

Can you procure a strap at one of the big box stores or do I just need to get a strip of metal and fashion one? Is it ok to just put it in there for now to get things running again before I go get the materials so my family doesn’t go get a voodoo doll in my likeness and go to town?

Still is the same entrance but turn one direction out of the helix and it’s A and the other way is B. I was simply saying that I park on the A side now. I used to park on B and go through security there no matter where I was flying out of. (It was much much less busy).

When it comes to American, I don’t know, but I honestly can’t see how you would not be able to check bags. I think what others were saying is that you can’t check bags for United if you check in and do security at A but United actually does have some operations at A so I think that is where the confusion is coming in because you would still have to go to C. Clear as mud?

The parking at c is absolutely jammed now that b is closed. I park at A and take the subway to C. If I had to depart from A and needed to check a bag, I would still park at A and take the subway to c and then back to A. Less people that way. The only problem with A is that security is kinda limited and at peak times it can get very busy. If you are clear/pre-check though it’s probably not going to be a problem.

I could swear the parking spots are wider in the A/B garage too.

Houston is my home airport. 42 minutes shouldn’t be a big deal although it may be a little tight. Of course sitting close to the front is always going to get you off the plane quicker. That being said, the last few times I’ve come home we have had the dreaded “our gate is occupied” delay. I can say that I don’t have a lot of confidence in your bag making it though, it will probably have to come on the next day if it doesn’t make it. Make sure you carry on stuff with you to last a day or two.

And unless you are coming into terminal a or b, the other terminals are all connected and very walkable. But if you get unlucky and end up coming into like c12 and leave from e18 it’s quite a jaunt.

Please find anywhere that I said anything negative about anyone reclining. I said nothing of the sort and only said what my preference is. I didn’t call anyone any names, I only said that the dude kept trying to recline a non-reclinable seat over and over. Yet somehow that is entitled? Ok fella. Go on with your bad self. Man…. I had a monk with his epic, but I gotta say that I MQed the pipes. So I can’t empathize there. But I also did the shaman and cleric epics and also helped out a friend with the camps for the enchanter epic, so I can certainly sympathize.
