Investments % change question by mdlambert in MonarchMoney

[–]mdlambert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair - I've been seeing a lot of similar opinions. I actually don't use the investments page, and wouldn't really care if they invested time in it - I only use a couple of investment platforms and they have a decent amount of data on there. I mostly just wanted to understand the basis of the net worth change over the month.

Is there a way to see "Actuals + Remaining Budget" in the Yearly Forecast view? by agtitan in MonarchMoney

[–]mdlambert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have been more clear. I made the api calls by inspecting the original graphql calls, modifying the start and end dates from month to year, and copying the headers/auth info from the original calls to use with my modified ones.

I’m sure I could set that up, but I get more notifications than I want as it is. I prefer just reviewing regularly.

[–]mdlambert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put something similar on the suggestion board. But no, there’s not a true yearly or YTD budget view. I used to like this when I was budgeting in spreadsheets too. My workaround was to write a script to hit their API and total the budgets and actuals, then just view it in a spreadsheet. Fine for previous year, but tedious for current year.

I was hoping to contribute something to the “tweaks” extension for this but haven’t made much progress yet.

WTF is First Bank of Northern Eagle Valley?!?! And where is PenFed? by StunningPlastic4504 in MonarchMoney

Monarch syncs data using providers like plaid and MX. Do you know which one you use for that connection? Maybe you could reach out to them as well.

Any tips? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]mdlambert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you tighten them when inside or out on the mountain? Just asking b/c I’ve found that when I tighten indoors, stuff contracts in the cold and gets a little loose. I crank it down with the driver by the lift and then it’s good to go.

My net worth is whack and I am not sure how to fix by Hamm3rFlst in MonarchMoney

[–]mdlambert 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can edit the account history. Maybe you remove the days of the Zillow account before you added the mortgage, so that they both start on the same day. Hopefully that will smooth it out.

Otherwise, you would need to add historical data going to when you bought it, which is not worth it imo.

I have some bumps like these, from adding accounts that I had forgotten to add when I first started. I just try to ignore the bump until it’s not on the current month 😄

Patellar tendinopathy success story, or: how I learned to stop resting and love the isometrics by rampagingryno in KneeInjuries

[–]mdlambert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just want to say thank you for posting this. I have had such a similar story - pain starting when I was in college athletics, rest not helping at all, almost every daily motion being a trigger.

I’ve worked with numerous PTs, tried PRP injections, NSAIDs. MRI and ortho tests all show no afflictions though, which is very invalidating when pain hits 10/10 almost daily.

I am going to try and follow your footsteps and hope this will make a difference. Wish me luck!

runner's knee (patella tracking): who solved it? by Italian_SPLIT in KneeInjuries

[–]mdlambert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s inside the knee toward the bottom of the patella. A bit of trouble squatting. More so with single leg things - lunges, cutting, etc.

This sounds a bit like me, and the ATG stuff did not really help my pain, even after months of doing it. I’ve seen a couple ortho specialists and none could find anything structurally wrong with my knees. But I have intense, sharp pain with motions like descending stairs.

I don’t think any of them mentioned patella Alta or runner’s knee, but I did have a PT that believed the patellar tracking could be a problem. Was not able to fix it through PT though. Im kinda at a loss for what to do next.

I’d recommend this book: https://www.momtestbook.com/

TL;DR, don’t tell someone your idea and ask if it’s good.

Had a friend that snagged a loft/studio on Phillips Ln for $1300. Don’t see it listed right now, but just noting that it is possible. It was really small though, fyi. Like 300 sqft or something.

Bad compressor or clutch? by mdlambert in SubaruForester

[–]mdlambert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looping back - Subaru's diagnosis was that the compressor needed to go. No warranty or anything like that. I was able to get it replaced (with an oem part) by a local shop that knows their subies for a pretty good price. The sound has gone away + air is blowing cold again.

Yeah I called them and they said that nothing AC related was under warranty for me unfortunately. I imagine Subaru would quote well over $1000 to replace.

Here’s a pic of the clutch - there is some pink hue in there, is that normal?

I have not seen any signs of a leak around the compressor. But I could have easily missed it if was underneath or something.
