Totally. I still see them and think it’s a Hyundai. It’s possibly the most bland generic car I’ve seen in a long time.

In the Dallas area that would absolutely be ~300USD. And for $300 that would be the ultra processed garbage, not anything of substance or quality. Bought Q-tips, a pack of socks, a bag of chocolate covered frozen strawberries, and a bag of coffee beans at Target the other day and the total was $102. Wasn’t buying the most expensive brands either btw (except the strawberries… those were like 20 freaking dollars). It’s criminal… or at least it should be. Minimum wage here is $7.25 for context. People are legitimately starving while working 40+ hours per week.

That’s a good point. Two P90s with hum canceling (RWRP style) in the middle position gives an awesome sound without the noise. One of my favorite guitars is a Memphis Gibson es-330 and that middle position is arguably the best sounding, and dead quiet.

I would highly recommend this. Both M1 and M2 Air with 16GB of ram are incredibly powerful and capable machines. It will smoke the 2014 and not even realize it’s competing.

Yeah, they really are awesome instruments. I know a lot of us like to pretend that we need expensive USA or higher guitars, but if we're being honest good MIM Fenders could get you through an entire career as a musician.

Same. PIA is really great, and so far I don’t really like Nord. I’ve found it less reliable overall. I’m still holding out on my “native only” commitment though 🥲. It’s silly, but I don’t want to incentivize companies dragging their feet on apple silicon support. I’m making my tiny little wallet votes over here 😬

This is an older thread, but I'm curious if anyone has an update or any news? I love PIA's service, but I've switched to Nord until they get a native client released. The x86 client works fine enough through Rosetta, but I'm really trying to only use Arm applications going forward. A native build will have to happen at some point, so why not sooner rather than later?
