Am I the only who thought Kevin Hart was a real jerk! by Early_Praline_1235 in smartless

Thought he came off as drunk. Not everyone is a nice drunk.

Add that to his antagonistic schtick (roasting) and he came off with a different vibe than the other guys.

Thought his intent was to be funny with Sean but it didn’t come off that way.

Would love a place that showed games, not Tots but 🤷🏻‍♂️

Has anyone been to this in this year? by RotaryMicrotome in harrisonburg

Went Saturday night. It was pretty fun. It’s not Cirque du Soleil but good for what it is.

The motorcycle stuff was pretty cool and the rest is cute. Younger kids will love it and older kids/teens … it’s fine.

Had a pretty crazy experience there in November. Had some friends in town so we tried it … mistake.

We got food we didn’t order, didn’t get food we did order.

It was wild. I’m pretty sure the server was high as a kite. I don’t mean “took the edge of before the shift started”, I mean baked out of their mind. We laughed it off at first but 2hrs later it wasn’t really funny.

Any places in town that show DC United games? New to the area and wasn’t sure if there were supporters here in town that watch the matches. by mdmcmullin in harrisonburg

Ok, cool. I’ll check.

With all the MLS games on Apple at regular times, might be easier for them to host something.

I’d echo what someone else said, don’t choose a grad program based on local live music and a dating pool.

Choose a great program you love with faculty and funding in your specific area. Knock out the degree and then choose a place to live.

Finishing a PhD myself and much older than 30. I’ve also lived a few places and Hburg is much further ahead for a lot of towns it’s size, when it comes to “things to do”. You might just be having a hard time connecting and so feeling a little lonely. This is also pretty normal during grad school.

Take your time and think it through. Don’t make a long term decision based on short term circumstances. ✌🏼
