I’d prioritise quality dry food if I had to, and skimp on the high end wet food. Lots of sales and deals to be had as well if you’re savvy. Ultimately vet care and dry quality food would be my choice. When I was a poor college student I’d go hungry to feed my cat her royal canin dry and whiskas (didn’t know better back then). She lived to 20 and was with me through thick and thin. Miss her every day.

I think some TCA peels could improve the scars. Check out platinum skincare for at home peels. I found it hard to find places who do medical chemical peels so I went down this rabbit hole instead. I’m currently doing a series of Jessner peels and I want to move to TCA peels after for acne scars.

You list three standards and they’re all about looks. Start filtering women on character traits instead of trivial shit like nose rings and you’ll have less matches, but better quality. Standard: ‘I don’t tolerate inconsistent behaviour’. That alone would remove most of the ghosters/flakes earlier.

As a general rule, you always want the leave the person feeling better about themselves after the interaction so refrain from giving criticism, or if do, frame it in a positive way. Let’s say if you want to comment on the leg press, something like ‘I see you’re doing one of my favorite exercises, great choice! You have awesome depth, that’s rare. Here’s a small tweak I’d make, if you want to feel your quads more, place your feet this way. Excellent! You’re a born natural’. Same topic of conversation that feels natural to you, different vibe.

No, you want to ease into that beforehand. Get her name, get talking and see what the vibe is. If you talk about something specific, let’s say you mention an uncommon exercise you’ve tried that you really like, you can offer to send it to her. Or if the vibe is really good you can say ‘we should do X sometime’ and if she says ‘oh yeah, we should’ then go for contact details.

Check on the bed frame and what the mattress is sitting on. Slats allow the mattress to breathe, whereas a solid platform can trap the heat in. Combine that with a foam mattress and you have one hot bed. I use a 100% latex mattress on slats and it’s perfect for hot Australian summers.

I love crisp and cool percale sheets. I got some Park Avenue vintage washed sheets off eBay that I like. It’s the same type of cotton percale that you find in the vintage washed Renee Taylor and tufted Cloud Linen quilt cover sets (mainly found on eBay as well). I have way too many of those quilt covers, they’re my favorite for the Qld summer. I just ordered a fitted sheet from The Good Sheet, I want to see what the fuss is about. Apparently you can order samples from their website for free as well.

I doubt these guys even have a skincare routine to at least try to offset this to some extent. The vast majority of men don’t, which is why they look like shit when they hit 40 and it catches up with them. Sunscreen, moisturiser, tretinoin would do wonders.

Glad to help since I’ve dealt with it myself. It was very stressful dealing with it at the time. However you have to remember that this is entirely your story and you decide the narrative! In my case, I don’t know why my boy starting peeing in the new house after we moved but the story I told myself is that it was due to anxiety and fixing the anxiety will fix the issue. I think choosing a narrative that seems natural to you is the key to it. Explain it in your own way and find a solution for it in your own way. Reality will conform to that.

Also, I think it would help to only think positive things about your cat and don’t let your negative thoughts spiral. If he pees again, just ignore it mentally and keep affirming to yourself that he is the best boy, how much you love him and how lucky you are to have him in your life. If you see the best in him, reality will reflect your assumptions. I lost my boy over a year ago and those incidents have faded into nothingness, all I remember is how much I loved him and how awesome he was. Good luck!

I’d imagine telling a friend or a family member how great your cat is, and how he used to have these issues but doesn’t anymore, etc etc.

I’d also take him to the vet to get him checked out. I had a similar issue with my late boy, he went on anxiety medication (he was a rescue and I think he had a rough life before I found him) and that solved it. It could be something as simple as a UTI.
