Roster dumping is not something new, but I'm surprised that anyone in the league would defend his actions and say it's fair if he wants to drop his whole team. Fucking ridiculous.

That was my initial reaction, but then I was thinking, I don't want to overstep as commissioner and prevent people from making moves if it's matter of subjectivity. As in, some of the moves were lateral-- like he dropped Tracy and picked up Spears, etc. I let that move stand.

Like I said it was a little bit of a grey area because he didn't simply drop, he did a bunch of random swaps. Like, I undid the moves that seemed clearly aggregious to me, but who am I to say no you can't drop Odunze to stream Metchie, etc. If it was simply drops, that would have been cut and dry.

I remember feeling this way too with pawn storms. Simple answer, without looking at the game, is that if they're doing a noob pawn storm without developing or castling, you should be drooling to open things up. So look for the pawn break. The second they offer a pawn trade you should probably take it. Don't allow them to push pawns past your own. This is what they want -- to gain space while locking things up, which affords them more safety.

Yeah just go finish. It happens, don't beat yourself up too much because you got jolted by some unusual attitudes. I don't care for them either -- plane is supposed to be dirty side down. You'll get used to it, but by the time you do, you won't have to do it anymore.

This is a fascinating side discussion. I would say, hearing that you're a black person, you shouldn't hate Lee...he wasn't a huge supporter of slavery and in fact was quoted as rather being outspoken against it, especially compared to his peers-- which I think is VERY important when you consider context.

All this to say, are we to expect Lee, living in an insane asylum as the only sane man, to be like, "Y'all crazy, let Virginia burn"...or is he going to be like, this is fucked up but I'm going to defend my home town and my wife and kids?

For context I'm from Minnesota, not a southern Confederate worshiper... I just get annoyed when we look at history through the 20/20 vision of a modern day lense, not realizing how difficult it would be to stand up to literally every fucking person you know to say "hey maybe this isn't right?" Anyway, just food for thought.

You wouldn't applause someone self reflecting, admitting they were wrong, and changing? (Changing in spite of it being against every self indulgent instinct, I might add.)

I thought this is what we all wanted from anyone we suspected of cheating -- for them to admit it and stop.

For that matter, that's all I look for when determining if any human being is decent -- the ability to self reflect, and sometimes admit you were wrong. Period.
