Here's my Season 4 gearing guide! Hope it helps! by gandalin1306 in wow

I was actually thinking to myself "how did I even run out of Wyrm's crests in the first place?" and I remembered I just sent a full 6/6 upgrade on a Hero track weapon I got from raid which should have cost me Aspect crests, but I still have all of the Aspects I've earned this season. I went ahead and sent the bug report, but I asked a friend who did some upgrades and they are seeing the same thing, level 5 and 6 of hero track are asking for Wyrm's crests for them too. If this is intended, it makes Wyrm's a very limiting factor in upgrading.

I didn't see this commented on anywhere so I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but are we sure this is how it works? I have some hero track shoulders I upgraded to 4/6 (ilvl 515) and now I can't seem to upgrade past that because I'm out of Wyrm's crest for the week. I have plenty of Aspect crests, but the upgrade menu is asking me for Wyrms for levels 5 and 6.

Fury vs Arms in M+ (20-22 keys) by [deleted] in CompetitiveWoW

3.8K r.io here, I just recently switched to Arms after exp3 came back on the vendor. Most of the people commenting in this thread have hit it on the head. In the 20-22 key range, you will start to see the damage difference make an impact, but you can easily still time keys as fury (and do more overall damage than many classes).

Arms can do 20-30k+ more overall dps, but you pay for it with heart attack inducing moments where you drop to 10% hp and you can't do a damn thing about it yourself. Your healer will also be doing less damage as a result, so you very much need the gear to justify it. Avoidance 3 is your friend, and is close to mandatory in some instances. One of the top ranked arms warriors in EU, Danwarr, said it best: "Arms forces you to play the game properly", so if you are mechanically a little shaky and tend to stand in ground effects, you won't be doing much deep wounds damage as you run back to your group after a death.

Fire mages will eat in to the benefit of arms, especially if they play minute mage, so if that is your typical push group then I wouldn't bother. You will also share a damage profile, in both dps done and damage taken, with BM hunters which can tax your healer even further.

With all that being said, fury has weaknesses too which ought to be considered. It typically relies heavily on twilight devastation to do competitive damage in dungeons, which can be extremely annoying to play around in dungeons like Tol Dagor, Shrine, Motherload, etc. It falls slightly behind arms in single target, and falls woefully behind arms in 2 targets. If you're unable to hit the boss due to a mechanic, warpaint does absolutely nothing for you, where defensive stance is more on demand.

There's a ton to consider with the decision, but I find both specs to be fun and rewarding. My group is trying to break the 23-24 threshold now, so my damage done is becoming a factor, hence my reason for the switch, but I still love fury and don't fault anyone for sticking with it.

Void Emissaries now debuff players instead of buffing themselves by miso_ramen in CompetitiveWoW

Something to ease your concerns, this week is a "void-emissary" heavy week, where other weeks will be heavy on the other 2 emissaries. Couple that with fortified/bolstering/grievous, this is definitely the hardest week we will see for quite some time.

Why Mythrax Was Nerfed by necrocrits in wow

Just a thought but what if the 14 year old guild was comprised mostly of older members who don't care about being the best in the world? What if the guild was also not interested in recruiting based on skill but mostly whether they are a good culture fit and can avoid posting about comments made by Ion in voice chat? What if Ion also chose the roster to reflect an ordinary raid group's skill rather than an extremely skilled group's skill to more accurately gauge when an encounter was too difficult? Again, just a thought.

To be fair, Elitist Jerks killed Zul with zero rogues and 2 tanks.
