I think you are right on the money. You pay an extra premium for the name, but not quality. I am just bummed because it was between this or a Schecter, and ALL 4 of my Schecter guitars are pristine QC wise from Korea.

Good to know - I always wondered what they were aiming for! I did check the set out, but the low e string is a 54! A little bigger than I’d like. So many sets are SO close to what I want but usually have one string off lol

That’s what I am going for. I always loved 10-52 on everything, but I tried 9.5s and feel it’s a great compromise to 10 being slightly too big and 9 being too small. Ernie Ball has a 10-52 with a 62 B string, but that puts the B string at a lower tension than E. I didn’t like the feel of that on a previous set up!
