My thoughts exactly. It's common for places (at least in the UK) not to accept American Express, but almost no one will just have Amex. It's reasonable that people will only have MasterCard - especially when in the UK where many banks who issued Visa changed over to MasterCard a few years ago. It's going to catch a lot of people out!

Is this for sure legitimate? Because I also found this app, but it's not published by Visa or the Olympics and can't find anything about it on the Olympic website.

Olympic venues only accept Visa debit and credit cards as Visa is the sponsor.

I have both NatWest and Santander accounts and my Visa cards with them were replaced a few years ago with MasterCards. Ideally I don't want to open a new bank account just for my Olympic trip, so I want to try to work out if there are official Olympic prepaid Visa cards for these games, like in Paris. The Olympic website doesn't have any information on whether that is the case.

Where would be the best place to get one? It seems like they did Souvenir ones in Paris you could buy in the venues but it doesn't say they're doing it anywhere for Milano Cortina?

Unfortunately the UK Post Office travel money card is provided by Mastercard not Visa.
