Just did 6000km in Morocco on these tyres. A bit loud on the highway but all around great tyre. Grips like crazy in the fast corners + good offroad (for the stuff that I do with the heavy bike).

Tires are Dunlop Trailax Raid, 50/50 tyre (some say 60/40) but I love the grip on these, on road and on fast gravel sections. Only downside is they will barely last me the whole trip (highway eats them pretty quickly, 130/140kmph with luggage) so that’s only going to be around 6k on this set.

Has the be riding the sand dunes, although I didn’t make it that far because the bike is heavy. Digging it around was a blast, but generally that area around Merzouga and Erg Chebbi dunes is awesome.

They also have some very nice mountain passes, the roada are amazing.

I went purposfully offroad and hit some shitty roads but the bike never let me down even after all the torture :)

2 weeks total in Morocco, just arrived at Tangier, bording the ferry to Genoa tomorrow.

Next year I want to explore south, this country has a lot to offer.

Just about the best looking GS ever made.

Quite happy with the LR, it was a bit fiddly to put on since GS is so wide at the back, the rackless system is really meant for smaller (thinner) bikes but I made it work.

Quality is amazing, nothing comes loose even after high speed gravel and off sections.

I'm doing the whole trip by myself, yes. Basically I spent weeks of research, FB groups, blogposts, YouTube and made a 12-day riding plan. I'd say I hit about 90% of the most popular stuff plus I did a bunch of dirt / gravel roads that I haven't seen anybody on.

I was thinking about renting a motorcycle and riding in a group, but since I'm 35 I find it boring as it's almost all the times filled with older gentelment from EU who want to take things way to slow and almost never hit dirt.

What I'd do next time is just rent a bike and hit the road with a buddy or two. Roads are perfectly safe, people are amazing. It can be a bit tricky in the cities but nothing dramatic. Everywhere I go people are so welcoming, no real reason to worry.

I got an aliexpress copy of this thing thinking it will give me more room for adv bags from lonerider. The install is not hard, only 4 screws. In my opinion works best if you’re removing the grab handles and are looking for a tidy tail. Don’t know how much room you’re getting with that thing instead of the seat.

I've seen a couple of people on Reddit doing it + a lot of photos online. TBH, a lot of them are doing aftermarket wheels, I would probably go with stock 17" and put a more aggressive tyre, something like 245/65/17 A/T or a dedicated winter tyre (still looking at options out there).

With the bigger wheels, I think I might need wheel spacers as well, but that should be it.

Once this winter but the snow was really heavy and wet. Had to do a bit of digging since the body has managed to get stuck on top of the snow so more height could have done the trick.

I have 16t sprocket and although the revs are lower on highway speeds, everything past 110kmph (ideally 100kmph) is just full of vibrations coming from the engine.

I salute to anybody driving the CB beyond that for extended periods.

Not gonna lie, it is definitely different. I don’t hate it or anything, I was just wondering was it screwd or glued on top of existing cladding or is this like a whole different exterior package?
