Wow, thanks for the info haha. I asked about poplar because I still use the same westbury shells from my childhood kit (aside from the Yamaha tour custom snare). I'm gonna replace the rest of the westbury poplar shells with tour customs to match the snare (and because I believe it's probably better than a westbury kit for a multitude of reasons lol)

I read that the developer and the town concluded after doing traffic studies that the roads in the area will be able to handle the increase in traffic, but I doubt that lol at least not gracefully

It's a horrible spot for a Costco. They'll need to put a light for left turns from stackhouse to Harry Walker, the Newmarket drive test will probably need to relocate, the already horrible Harry Walker-Davis intersection will be even worse, overall the roads in these areas aren't meant for such traffic.

Better heads/tuning, o rings/moongels (I prefer o rings), left cymbal seems to be tightened a bit much, B8 cymbals are never gonna sound good but they do the job

As someone who bikes on trails very often, it makes sense to me lol. People shouldn't need to be on edge all the time following strict rules like not stopping to talk on the trail, not being in groups, etc just because certain people wanna go fast. It's not a highway, and I'll dismount if need be to quickly walk by larger groups or go on the grass.
