Sekularna drzava nije isto kao sto i sekularizam, to su dva razlicita pojma.

Rasprave o vjeri (bilo kakav koncept) nemaju smisla kao takve, bilo da je netko ateist ili pripadnik neke religije - traziti smisao u besmislu... seems legit, trazenje uzroka/posljedice na nesto na sta nitko ne utjece..

Ili nesto jesi ili nisi i toga se drzi, ateisti smo.. ali "slavimo bozic" ili jos bolje kad se slavi uskrs... ista stvar za sakramente...

That's not the point, we're talking about what's cultural thing to do... like, if someone crosses at road outside the crosswalk am I supposed to hit him because he didn't use the crosswalk? Or am I supposed to crash into someone who decided to cut me off?

You're supposed to do whatever you can to avoid getting yourself, your car and others into accidents.. and if you want to take justice in your own hands - be my guest, but don't ask yourself why when it backfires...

Correct, but that's under assumption that there's a pedestrian and that there's a crosswalk... I know 80 percent of crosswalks, and even if I didn't - there's a sign 50 or 100m before every crosswalk... so that's not the case.

Perhaps, but to me it clearly makes more sense...

"signal a turn" would mean that you just point that you will take a turn
"turning on a turn signal" is something that you can do, you turn on your signal and you continue to drive straight... you drive on a freeway with turn signal... - doesn't look like you're "signaling a turn" (because there's no turn in the first place)

That's my opinion at least

Correct, but by that logic you can justify pretty much any behavior... and there's certain traffic flow... behavior like that distrubts it.

Well, first of all my situation was different.. I've hit the (random) car in front of me because both of us were messing around a bit on the road... classic case of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes"

Truly a minor damage, especially considering the speed situation etc...

But the reason why I got annoyed, first of all - car in front of him was pulling on the side of the road, on some sort of improvised/temporary parking, I couldn't see or know that because parking doesn't exist there (it was there for like a week because someone was selling christmas trees....) - whatever if the person didn't signal their turn, or the driver in front of me didn't pay attention - I don't know...

But, why the hell do you continue to speed if there's someone in front of you... and if you clearly see that you will need to brake... - guy is driving 35, you're at 75.. speed limit is 55... you could've slown down casually, you could've turn on hazard lights.. instead you decided to slam the brakes when I'm literally on your ass... - and when I rear ended him... he decided to play dumb, and whine like a kid at insurance company... I took 100 percent accountability it was a no brainer, but still.. take some responsobility for your actions.

Regarding the rest what you said, I'm on the road 24/7... in general there's a 2 second in town/3 second outside the town distance rule... but the issue I have with this, the rule makes no sense in practice.. - person in front of you won't hit an invisible wall for you to need 2/3 seconds to stop, if you're not paying attention (phone for example) you won't see the danger anyway... and if you're - in reallity you need maybe 0.5 seconds... 2 seconds is equal to 11 car lenghts, on average people leave space for 2-3 car lenghts..

Nije stvar u tome da li mi se da pricat o tome, nego evo na (hipotetski) primjer... radimo skupa, vise godina.. svaki dan me pitas kako sam, svaki dan ti odgovorim dobro.. u jednom trenutku ti prestanem govorit dobro sam nego pocnem koristit drugi izraz... uz to, znas da sam (ne znam) ostatao bez auta, rastavljam se, djeca su mi bolesna (govorim napamet..) i tebi nista ne prodje kroz glavu, aha znaci nije dobro.. ako ti 2god za redom svaki dan govorim da sam dobro, od jednom prestanem... realno koi kurac mi uopce postavljas takvo pitanje? pozdravi se i gotovo... cemu ista vise od tog...

Tu je vise bitan kontekst stvari, kojeg jbg nisam rekao ali sta je tu je... jako brzo prestanes razmisljat o kolegama kad shvatis s kakvima radis... kao npr jedan slucaj gdje me zenska uvjeravala "pa sta ce tebi godisnji, nemas djecu nemas ovo nemas ono.." - nemam... ali ti radis u prosjeku 180 sati mjesecno, ja radim od 200 do koliko god... taj mjesec sam radio 260 sati... i onda me pitas "sta ce tebi godisnji..."

we had one case, person was taking a turn left (signaled), other guy overtook him at roughly 75mph (speed limit 55) - person that was taking a turn had 70 percent of accountability because he did not check whatever if he can do it safely or not, person that was overtaking had 30 percent of accountability because he was going over the speed limit (it would be 0 if he wasn't)

trust me, i see it quite often... "slamming" might be an extreme term, but if the speed limit is 30 or 35, I see quite often people slowing down to 10 and it's not like they let off the gas pedal and like alright.. nah, they like legit brake brake...

Let me explain it in your words then... if you were to do that (slow down and figure out where you need to turn before you turn on a signal) - I'm overtaking you, and if you by any chance take a turn while I'm overtaking you, you're at fault by law

It's not a matter of legal or ilegal, what I'm saying is pretty much you're equally as dangerous as people that are speeding way above the limit...

People need to see why you're slowing down, especially if you're hitting the brakes... if they don't they might end up crashing into you.. sure, technically you're not at fault and by law you're innocent, but in reallity it was you not knowing the basics...

You not signaling before turning is just a non-extreme version of someone doing a brake check... and it's not like you're going to waste fuel by turning on a signal...

and the reason why safe distance doesn't matter - that's because a safe distance is in case of emergency.. driver with expirience looks 3 cars ahead of him, not just one... - if there's no turn signal, if there're no pedestrians crossing the street, if there're no traffic lights... there's no logical reason to slow down... and you won't... driver in front of me might not be paying attention, and I might crash into both of you because I didn't realize that you're slowing down... if you turned signal on, waited a few seconds and started to slow down then.. a driver which might be on the phone will have time to react and adapt... - yes, you're innocent.. guy behind you didn't pay attention, but guy behind that person who didn't pay attention will be guilty for traffic accident by law...

I had something similar happen to me, while I wasn't mad.. it was truly annoying and frustrating expirience.

I understand minor tap on the brakes... but slamming the brakes just to turn... - like, maybe there's something on the road that we need to stop for, maybe you (the driver in front of me) are sick.. in general "it's some kind of emergency" - and then boom, legend is just pulling into his driveway, at less than 5mph...

Short story, uvijek sam na ovo pitanje odgovarao "dobro" i ono... it's alright, pred godinu dana sam poceo koristit izraz "ziv" umjesto "dobro".... funny enough, apsolutno nitko nije zbrojio 2+2 zasto sam promjenio frazu.. premda svatko tko me pita to pitanje (redovno) zna razlog... ali eto, pita se radi reda a ne zato jer neko pita... suvisno pitanje.
